On 19 Aug 09 Mark J. Paul, age 29, 27260 State Route 7 Apt. B, Marietta, reported an argument with his ex-girlfriend ensued when she arrived at his residence to pick up their child. Mr. Paul said his ex-girlfriend, Jill N. Carder, age 19, 1415 Lancaster Street Apt. 2A, Marietta, was angry that he was dating another woman and she began ripping pictures he had in his bedroom. Attempting to take the pictures from Ms. Carder, Mr. Paul stated his ex-girlfriend punched him in the cheek. The two continued to argue as Mr. Paul pushed Ms. Carder toward the front door and was punched again and struck in the back of the head with a sandal. Ms. Carder admitted striking Mr. Paul with her fist and footwear but claimed she did so in retaliation for being shoved by Mr. Paul. Both parties commented that they did not fear for their safety and did not feel the other party was trying to harm them. As a result, Deputy Sheriff Simmons issued Mr. Paul and Ms. Carder minor misdemeanor citations for disorderly conduct by fighting.

On 19 Aug 09 Deputy Sheriff Anderson issued a citation to Timothy A. Olson, age 56, 923 PVT Drive, Pedro, OH, for operating a vehicle with license plates that expired in September 2008. Deputy Anderson stopped Mr. Olson on State Route 7 near State Route 550 in Marietta Township.

Michalyn N. Blair, age 32, 703 Franklin Avenue, Belpre, for breach of recognizance and for failing to appear for pretrial on 5 Aug 09.

Kenneth A. Casada, age 26, 3719 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, for aggravated menacing committed on 17 Apr 08.

Dallas W. Farnsworth, age 36, last known address 122 Harmar Street, Marietta, for breach of recognizance and for failing to appear for pretrial on 18 Aug 09.

Diane Martin, age 53, Stouts Lane, Beverly, for the theft of a Ford Explorer from a Beverly resident on 31 Jul 09.

Brian T. McGrail, age 42, 745 Greene Street Apt. D, Marietta, for failing to appear to serve thirty days in jail on 3 Aug 09.

Mary E. McKitrick, age 31, 233 Hillcrest Drive, Marietta, for failing to appear to serve ten days in jail on 10 Aug 09.

Jamie C. Waters, age 37, 14002 State Route 339, Watertown, for breach of recognizance and for failing to appear for pretrial on 5 Aug 09.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jason Lee Bartimus, age 33, 2346 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Bartimus was arrested at the office of his probation officer by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 09 at 12:01 pm.

Thomas Coy Nelson, age 41, 1684 Twin Bridge Road, Little Hocking, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Nelson was arrested at his residence by Probation Officer Willson and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 09 at 12:09 pm.

Michael Elliott Taylor, age 54, 102 Flintwood Drive, Marietta, for nonsupport of dependants, a misdemeanor. Taylor was arrested at his attorney’s office by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 09 at 4:03 pm.

Richard Wesley Hawkins, age 39, 101 Theiss Avenue, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Hawkins was arrested in Lowell by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 09 at 4:46 pm.

Gary Dean Burton, age 26, 116 Franklin Street, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Burton was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Aug 09 at 10:00 pm.
