On 4 Aug 09 Deputy Sheriffs Holbert and Reeder
were dispatched to the scene of a brawl at 51212 State Route
7, New Matamoras. Visiting a friend at the location, Linda
Lasure, age 27, 502 1/2 Broadway Avenue, New Matamoras, said
she was in her vehicle speaking to her friend when Jennifer
Bennett, age 36, 379 Parr Hill Road, New Matamoras, passed
her in a vehicle and shouted insults. Ms. Lasure stated Ms.
Bennett exited the vehicle, approached her and began shouting
obscenities. Exiting her vehicle as well, Ms. Lasure said a
physical altercation ensued, with both women tumbling to the
ground and fighting until they were separated by witnesses.
Ms. Bennett provided a contradictory account of the incident,
alleging Ms. Lasure instigated the confrontation. Citing witness
statements that each party was equally involved, Deputy Reeder
issued minor misdemeanor citations to Ms. Bennett and Ms. Lasure
for disorderly conduct by fighting.
On 4 Aug 09 Neil Rader, age 72, 5608 Grand
Central Avenue, Vienna, reported at some point during the past
month an electric trolling motor was stolen from his boat docked
along the Little Hocking River in the vicinity of 881 State
Route 555, Little Hocking. This case remains under investigation
(500).
On 4 Aug 09 Robert McKitrick, age 45, 597
County Nine Road, Marietta, reported he believes a relative
stole approximately seventy-five Vicodin pills and seventy
Percocet pills while she visited his residence that afternoon.
Contacted at her residence, the alleged suspect allowed Deputy
Sheriff Travaglio to search her home. Deputy Travaglio did
not locate any of the alleged stolen medication. This case
remains under investigation.

Aaron L. Winer, age 24, 605 Mount Tom Road,
Marietta, for failing to appear for pretrial on 29 Jul 09.
Daniel S. Metz, age 38, 101 Allen Street, Little Hocking,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $156.00.
Randall L. Shields, age 51, 120 Aqua Isle Circle, Parkersburg,
for breach of recognizance for failing to appear for arraignment
on 24 Jul 09.
Jericho L. Pugh, age 20, 23585 State Route 339, Beverly, for
underage consumption of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia
and possession of drugs on 3 May 09.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Garry W. Vanmeter III, age 32, 201 Monroe
Manor, Woodsfield, for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Vanmeter was picked
up at the Monroe county line by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 Aug 09 at 2:30 am.
Iva Raelynn McFall, age 27, 5730 Salvage Hill
Road, Sugar Grove, OH, for two misdemeanor counts of breach
of recognizance. McFall was picked up at the Hocking County
Sheriff’s Office by Deputy Sheriff Malone and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 Aug 09 at 11:42 am.
Lovell Anthony Schaffer, age 30, 910 Fourth Street, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Schaffer turned himself in to Corrections
Officer Brockmeier and was processed into the Washington County
Jail on 4 Aug 09 at 10:15 pm.
