On 26 Jul 09 Jennifer Riley, age 27, 1045 Sandhill Road Lot 23, Marietta, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) scratched her vehicle on the driver’s side and on the hood. This case remains under investigation (1090).

On 26 Jul 09 Deputy Sheriffs Mayle and Smeeks conducted a traffic stop on State Route 7 near milepost sixteen after clocking the vehicle at a speed of 98 mph. Approaching the vehicle, Deputy Mayle noticed an odor of alcohol as well as a crushed beer can lodged between the vehicle’s center console and passenger seat. Despite claiming she only consumed one beer, the driver, Amy Chevalier, age 24, 231 Woodland Avenue, Belpre, performed poorly on field sobriety tests. Charged with OVI, Ms. Chavalier provided a breath sample that registered at .159 BAC.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Michael Lee Roux, age 37, 297 Beau Street, Washington, PA, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Roux was arrested on State Route 7 by Chief Bourne of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Jul 09 at 12:33 am.

Paul Dwayne Blosser, age 33, 704 Elm Street Apt. 8, Belpre, for possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and possession of a controlled substance, all misdemeanors. Blosser was in Belpre by Patrolman Augenstein of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Jul 09 at 1:16 am.
