On 19 Jul 09 Sgt. Underwood responded to a
vehicle fire at the residence of Seth Snyder, age 23, at 190
Mill Street, Waterford. Extinguished by the Beverly Fire Department,
the fire originated in the engine compartment of the 1998 Buick
Regal. The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical or
mechanical.
On 19 Jul 09 Sgt. Underwood responded to the
scene of death of a sixty-five year old Cutler resident. The
man’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul
play is suspected.
On 19 Jul 09 Deputy Sheriffs Carr and Simmons
responded to an incident at 114 Holiday Drive, Marietta. Kimberly
A. Molden, age 36, stated she was involved in an argument with
her husband during which time he punched a wall. Mrs. Molden
said a brief struggle ensued over her mobile phone and her
car keys but at no time did she fear for her safety. As a result,
Deputy Simmons closed this case as unfounded.
On 19 Jul 09 Shane Dotson, age 25, 697 Hill
Road, Cutler, reported he arrived at Devol’s Dam with
a friend to fish around midnight and when he returned to the
vehicle at 4 am he noticed items were missing from the vehicle.
Mr. Dotson said the unknown suspect(s) ransacked the interior
and stole the car and approximately twenty-five CDs. This case
remains under investigation (790).
On 19 Jul 09 a twenty-nine year old Marietta
resident reported a neighbor in her apartment complex grabbed
her twelve year old daughter by the arm and shoved her eight
year old son because the two allegedly hit his vehicle with
a golf ball. The mother said the thirty-one year old suspect
appeared intoxicated and stated that her children were scared
of the suspect. This case remains under investigation (790).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Charday Marie Underdown, age 21, 695 Wedgewood Drive Apt.
7, Columbus, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Underdown was picked up at
the Morgan County line by Deputy Sheriff Anderson and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 19 Jul 09 at 7:35 am.
John Robert Jackson, age 46, 45 Cathedral Lane Apt. 1208,
Cuyahoga Falls, OH, for disorderly conduct by intoxication,
a misdemeanor. Jackson was arrested on State Route 60 in Beverly
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 19 Jul 09 at 1:30 pm.
Randall Lee Shields, age 51, 120 Aqua Isle Circle, Parkersburg,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Shields
was arrested on Pike Street by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 19 Jul 09 at 10:10 pm.
