On 14 Jul 09 Amanda J. Trembly, age 33, 25
Maple Street, Apt. 2, Newport, reported that vehicles were
entered at the residence. Items taken include a VHS/DVD player,
cash, several CDs, keys and a debit card. This case remains
under investigation.
On 14 Jul 09 Norma Carliss, age 80, 3492 State
Rte 555, Little Hocking reported that a subject she cares for
was refusing to take medications as well as causing problems,
and wanting to leave the residence. Carliss did not wish them
to leave for their own wellbeing. The subject was given a ride
to his residence at this time and Adult Protective Services
was contacted to follow up on this individual.
On 14 Jul 09 the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office was asked to check the welfare of a 17 year old Belpre
residence. Upon checking at the residence it was learned the
juvenile was not at the home, and had the family vehicle. Officers
were later contacted by the parents at which time the parents
advised the child had returned home, and they did not wish
to pursue charges.
On 14 Jul 09 Cheryl Miller, age 45, 610 SR
821, Marietta, reported that she has been receiving unwanted
telephone calls from a subject stating that she owes him money.
This case remains under investigation at this time.
On 14 Jul 09 Sgt. Johnson responded to the
residence of Thelma Binegar, age 72, 21264 State Rte 676, Marietta.
Witnesses at the scene state that Binegar had poured gasoline
into a tractor at which time the tractor exploded. Binegar
was helped to the ground by witnesses to assist in extinguishing
the fire. 911 was called and the Warren Vol. Fire Department
and squad did arrive to assist Binegar. Binegar was transported
to the Ohio State University Hospital at that time. The concrete
block building was destroyed in the fire. No foul play is suspected
in this incident.

Avenue, Carpinteria, CA, for Disorderly Conduct, misdemeanor.
Freeman was arrested at the Go Mart by Ptl. Thomas of the Marietta
Police Department and was processed into the Washington County
Jail on 14 Jul 09 at 1:05 a.m.
William Edward Foreman, age 34, 845 County
House Lane, Marietta, for Probation Violation, misdemeanor.
Foreman was arrested by Probation Officer Brockmeier in the
800 block of Front Street, Marietta, and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 14 Jul 09 at 10:15 a.m.
Natalie Sue Weckbacher, age 26, 1045 Sandhill
Road #15, Marietta, for Probation Violation, felony. Weckbacher
was arrested at APO Officer Gault’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 14 Jul 09 at 11:35 a.m.
Andrew James Erb, age 33, 415 Third Street,
#1, Marietta, for Domestic Violence, felony. Erb was arrested
at the Washington County Jail by Ptl. McCracken of the Marietta
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 14 Jul 09 at 3:22 p.m.
Phillip Dale West Jr., age 21, 108 Alta Street,
#2, Marietta, for Probation Violation, felony. West was arrested
at APO Officer Gilchrist’s office and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 14 Jul 09 at 4:36 a.m.
