On 12 Jul 09 Washington County Children Services
requested assisting in investigating an abuse allegation of
a child in the Waterford area, however no abuse was found.
On 12 Jul 09 Deputy Travaglio requested a
summons for a sixteen year old Lower Salem resident to appear
in Juvenile Court on a charge of Delinquency by Underage Consumption.
The juvenile admitted to having several beers that evening.
On 12 Jul 09 Deputy Travaglio responded to
the Southgate Trailer Park, Lot 64, Marietta, in reference
a dispute between two subjects at that location. The witness
stated that Daniel D. Luke, age 41, 907 Garfield Avenue, Marietta,
drove past his residence at a high rate of speed, at which
time he yelled for him to slow down. At that time Mr. Luke
stopped the vehicle and the argument ensued. Upon Deputy Travaglio’s
arrival she observed Mr. Luke walking down the road with a
beer in his hand. Mr. Luke admitted to drinking five beers
and driving his vehicle while intoxicated. Deputy Travaglio
then observed a box of Bud Light beer in the Luke vehicle,
and upon taking a photograph of this container, placed her
hand on a sharp object inside the vehicle. Deputy Travaglio
then found the object to be a steel ball with spikes on a foot
of steel chain, connected to a steel handle. Mr. Luke was placed
under arrested for OVI and Carrying a Concealed Weapon and
transported to the Washington County Jail.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Rochelle Lynn Vance, age 38, 650 Second Avenue,
Middleport, OH, for theft, felony. Vance was arrested by Deputy
Gilkey of the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 12 Jul 09 at 1:07 p.m.
Tytus Lamarr Shields, age 20, 833 Second Street,
Marietta, for failure to appear, misdemeanor. Shields was arrested
by Ptl. Huffman in the 800 block of Second Street and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 12 Jul 09 at 1:41 p.m.
Scott Lee Carpenter, age 47, 413 ½ Third
Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Carpenter
was arrested at his residence by Ptl. Arbaugh of the Marietta
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 12 Jul 09 at 7:58 p.m.
Daniel Deane Luke, age 41, 907 Garfield Avenue,
Marietta, for OVI and CCW, misdemeanors. Luke was arrested
in Reno by Deputy Travaglio of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12
Jul 09 at 9:40 p.m
