On 11 Jul 09 Deputy Stackpole was on patrol
in the area of US 50 and Farson Street, Belpre, when he observed
a vehicle cross the center line as well as the fog line, with
half of the vehicle being on the shoulder of the road. Deputy
Stackpole then conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle driven
by Donald J. Boggs, age 27, 28534 Torch Road, Coolville, OH.
After conducting field sobriety tests on Mr. Boggs, he was
placed under arrest for OVI and taken to the Washington County
Jail.
On 11 Jul 09 Deputy Sheriff Hornbeck responded
to 1094 Drag Strip Road, Belpre, in reference to an altercation
that had taken place. Bradley Henthorne, age 24, 1094 Drag
Strip Road, advised that he was at a friend’s house on
Millbranch Road when his girlfriend, Jennifer Kerns, age 27,
1094 Drag Strip Road, arrived at the residence and the two
began arguing. Mr. Henthorne stated that Ms. Kerns slapped
him and he then slapped her back. Both subjects stated that
they were not injured, nor were any injuries observed by the
Officer. Both subjects were issued citations to appear in Marietta
Municipal Court on a charge of disorderly conduct.
On 11 Jul
09 Deputy Sheriff Mankins was in the vicinity of 301 Scammel
Street, Marietta, when he observed a male subject,
Charles E. Hughes, age 19, 638 Third Street, Marietta, sitting
in a vehicle holding a shoe with an opened beer inside. When
confronted, Hughes stated the beer was not his, however would
not state who the beer belonged to. Hughes did admit to drinking
on this date. Hughes was advised that a summons would be
requested for him to appear in Marietta Municipal Court on
a charge of
Underage Consumption of Alcohol.

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Donald Jack Boggs, age 27, 28534 Torch Road,
Coolville, OH, for OVI, misdemeanor. Boggs was arrested by
Lt. Stackpole of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jul 09
at 3:20 a.m.
Clarence Otto Jeffers II, age 45, 107 Muskingum
Drive, Marietta, for failure to appear on fines, misdemeanor.
Jeffers was arrested by Ptl. Huffman of the Marietta Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
11 Jul 09 at 11:57 a.m.
Levi James Lake, age 19, Pennock Trailer Court,
Lot 12, Beverly, for failure to appear on fines, misdemeanor.
Lake was arrested by Ptl. Hunter of the Beverly Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 11 Jul 09
at 3:27 p.m.
