On 3 Jul 09 Deputy Sheriff Anderson requested
a summons for a fifteen year old Marietta resident to appear
in Juvenile Court for being unruly. The teenager’s mother
reported that morning that her daughter sneaked out of their
home, which she has done numerous times, and refuses to adhere
to her curfew.
On 3 Jul 09 a witness at the Par Mar gas station
in New Matamoras, located at 1300 Park Avenue, reported hearing
what sounded like an altercation involving a male and a female.
Arriving at the location, Deputy Sheriff Travaglio found Michael
C. Brown, age 20, State Route 20, Pine Grove, WV, shirtless
and bleeding from scratches and scrapes on his upper body.
Mr. Brown refused to provide any information regarding the
incident, including his name, stating several times “take
me to jail” because he was unwilling to cooperate. Through
additional interviews Deputy Travaglio determined the identity
of the female and at some point during the incident Mr. Brown
was dragged by the female’s car. Due to his failure to
cooperate Mr. Brown was arrested for obstructing official business
and transported to the Washington County Jail. The female involved
was not injured and will not face charges.
On 3 Jul 09 Deputy Sheriff Smeeks issued a
citation to Sondra E. Simpson, age 23, 992 Turkeyhen Road,
Fleming, for traveling 70 mph in a 55 mph zone and for having
expired license plates. Deputy Sheriff Smeeks stopped Ms. Simpson
on State Route 7 near Briggs Hill Road in Dunham Township.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Michael Coleman Brown, age 20, State Route 20, Pine Grove,
WV, for obstructing official business, breach of recognizance
and for disorderly conduct by intoxication, all misdemeanors.
Brown was arrested in New Matamoras by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Jul 09
at 2:38 am.
Patricia Ann Smith, age 46, 1154 Patten Mills Road Apt. 1,
Cutler, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Smith turned
herself in to Deputy Sheriff Anderson and was processed into
the Washington County Jail on 3 Jul 09 at 1:21 pm.
Ivan Lynn Patterson Jr., age 18, 104 Riley Drive Apt. 6, for
being a military deserter, a felony. Patterson was arrested
at his residence by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 3 Jul 09 at 3:07 pm.
Julianna Mae Paszter, age 28, 3355 94th Street, Cleveland,
for falsification, a misdemeanor. Paszter was arrested on Interstate
77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 3 Jul 09 at 7:00 pm.
Lenora Evelyn Fuller, age 28, 3084 Broadview Street, Cleveland,
for falsification, a misdemeanor. Fuller was arrested on Interstate
77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 3 Jul 09 at 7:02 pm.
Heather Renee Mitchell, age 34, 448 Hine Street, Cambridge,
for driving under a suspended license, speeding g and for not
wearing a seatbelt, all misdemeanors. Mitchell was arrested
on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 3 Jul 09 at 7:10 pm.
