On 25 Jun 09 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio issued
a citation to Jordan W. Stevens, age 19, 844 Bear Creek Road,
Lowell, for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy Travaglio originally
stopped Mr. Stevens for not using a turn signal when turning
from State Route 60 onto Bear Creek Road in Adams Township.
On 25 Jun 09 Hugh J. Gilmore III, age 20,
424 Barkwill Street, Saint Marys, WV, reported he was walking
along Woodland Drive in Newport with his girlfriend when a
vehicle approached him and a passenger exited the car to speak
with him. Mr. Gilmore said the individual told him he owed
him $40 and that if he didn’t give him the money he would
beat him up. At that point the suspect swung his fist at Mr.
Gilmore and put him in a headlock. Mr. Gilmore’s girlfriend
ran to a nearby relative’s home and returned with $40
to give the suspect. The suspect then fled and Mr. Gilmore
phoned for help. This case remains under investigation (610,
953).
On 25 Jun 09 Delicia Davis, age 35, 1308 Williamson
Avenue Apt. 3D, New Matamoras, reported when she arrived home
from work that evening she noticed her sliding glass door was
off its track. Surveying her apartment, Ms. Davis determined
$150, three Wii games and a grey lock box were missing from
her apartment. Ms. Davis stated the lock box contained numerous
personal documents as well as $2 bills, silver certificates
and prescription bottles containing Percocet, Vicodin, Norco
and Zanaflex. This case remains under investigation (296).
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Glenn R. Johnson, age 22, 116 Harmar Street,
Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $4,378.40.
Christopher A. Reynolds, age 22, 16 Rubles Court, Parkersburg,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $690.50.
Nicholas J. Durbin, age 24, 43 Leigh Ann Drive, McConnelsville,
for failing to appear for pretrial on 23 Jun 09.
Roshonna A. Perry, age 22, 308 Harmar Street, Marietta, for
criminal damaging of a yard at Southgate Trailer Park on 25
May 09.
Beldon T. Bailey, age 31, 1201 Wyatt Lane Apt. C, Belpre,
for assaulting a female in Belpre on 8 Mar 09.
Isaiah H. Ohse, age 22, 105 A Colonial Square, Belpre, for
receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia
and for complicity in the theft of a bicycle on 6 Jun 09.
Anthony R. Nichols, age 27, 9255 State Route 377, Chesterhill,
for driving under a suspended license, for squealing his tires
and for being in possession of an open container of alcohol
in the city of Marietta on 14 Jun 09.
The following
individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:
James Christopher Brumley, age 23, Econo Lodge,
Marietta, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor.
Brumley was arrested on Butler Street by Patrolman Thomas of
the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 25 Jun 09 at 7:45 pm.
Christopher Lee Raper, age 39, 33209 Big Lick Road, New Matamoras,
for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Raper was arrested at
his residence by Chief Bourne of the New Matamoras Police Department
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Jun 09
at 7:55 pm.
