On 23 Jun 09 Kimberly Molden, age 36, 114 Holiday Drive, Marietta, reported her husband returned home at 11:30 pm the previous evening in an intoxicated state and would follow her around their house while verbally abusing her. Attempting to avoid further confrontation, Mrs. Old tried to leave the home but she said her husband would grab her arms and at one point sat on the hood of her car to keep her from leaving. Mrs. Molden said she did not feel threatened but phoned for help because her husband would not cooperate and she thought it best that they separate for the evening. Closing this case as unfounded, Deputy Sheriff Holbert transported Mr. Molden to a friend’s residence for the evening.

On 23 Jun 09 an employee of Belpre Sand and Gravel, 320 Cemetery Road, Little Hocking, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s), likely from a boat on the Ohio River, boarded three barges docked at the business and stole three five gallon gas cans and a set of Craftsman tools. The total loss due to the thefts is estimated at $290. This case remains under investigation (608).

Ms. Nichols stated the suspect is forbidden from contacting her through any means, including via the internet, and has been arrested for previously violating the protection order. This case remains under investigation (608).

On 23 Jun 09 Michael Lieving, age 48, 5049 Federal Road, Little Hocking, reported a friend visiting his home began to cause a commotion when he was asked to leave the residence. Appearing to be highly intoxicated, William R. Simers, age 49, 1624 Hill Street, Belpre, started yelling and insisted on staying at the residence. Finally departing the property in his truck, Mr. Simers spun his tires and accelerated away. As a result of the incident, Deputy Sheriff Smeeks will request a summons for Mr. Simers for disorderly conduct by intoxication.
