On 20 Jun 09 Deputy Sheriff McLeish issued
a citation to Jeremy Bolden, age 35, 114 Wells Avenue, Marietta,
for not stopping at a stop sign. Deputy McLeish stopped Mr.
Bolden after he failed to stop at the intersection of Zion
Ridge Road and Hills Bridge Road in Newport Township.
On 20 Jun 09 Lola Sampson, age 38, 1375 State
Route 530, Lowell, reported her husband Daniel, age 41, arrived
home around midnight, heavily intoxicated. While her husband
detailed a confrontation he had at the bar that evening, Mrs.
Sampson said she interrupted Mr. Sampson’s story to answer
a phone call from her son. Infuriated due to his wife’s
disruption, Mr. Sampson ripped phone cords from more than one
wall. Mrs. Sampson attempted to use her mobile phone but her
husband grabbed the device from her hand, threw it and broke
it. On her knees trying to reconnect a phone line, Mrs. Sampson
said her husband kicked her, causing her head to strike a table.
In fear for her safety because her husband is violent when
he is angry, Mrs. Sampson fled to a relative’s home.
Based on his investigation, Deputy Mankins arrested Mr. Sampson
for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington
County Jail.
On 20 Jun 09 Deputy Sheriff McLeish issued
a citation to Aaron Perine, age 31, 184 Fourth Street, Lowell,
for driving under a suspended license. Deputy McLeish originally
stopped Mr. Perine for having a loud exhaust at the intersection
of State Route 60 and Arends Ridge Road in Muskingum Township.
On 20 Jun 09 Lt. Wilson issued a citation
to Blaine B. Stork II, age 24, 4336 State Route 339, Belpre,
for traveling 70 mph in a 55 mph zone. Lt. Wilson stopped
Mr. Stork on State Route 7 near Veto Road in Warren Township.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Daniel Richard Sampson, age 41, 306 Third Street, Lowell,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Sampson was arrested
at his residence by Sgt. Underwood of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 20 Jun 09 at 1:50 am.
Pedro Camarillo-Guevara, age 19, 836 Pike Street Apt. 23,
Marietta, for OVI, for operating a vehicle without a license
and for moving at a slow speed, all misdemeanors. Camarillo-Guevara
was arrested on Front Street in Marietta by the Ohio State
Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 20 Jun 09 at 4:50 am.
Matthew Clayton Friend, age 39, 4770 County Nine Road, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Friend
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Jun 09 at 10:00
am.
Michael Coleman Brown, age 20, State Route 20, Pine Grove,
WV, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor.
Brown was arrested in New Matamoras by Chief Bourne of the
New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 20 Jun 09 at 5:50 pm.
Dana Lynn Hesson, age 39, 832 Ridge Street, Marietta, for
operating a vehicle with an expired license, for failure to
register and for having fictitious plates, all misdemeanors.
Hesson was arrested near milepost ten State Route 60 by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 20 Jun 09 at 8:15 pm.
Elizabeth Marie Westgate, age 48, 12858 State Route 676 Apt.
B, Waterford, for theft, a misdemeanor. Westgate was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Anderson and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 20 Jun 09 at 12:05 am.
