On 18 Jun 09 the Salem Township Fire Department transported an eighteen year old Whipple resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital following a suicide attempt. Receiving treatment for cuts to both of her wrists, the victim said she was drinking at two bars in Marietta in the early morning hours and consumed several psychedelic mushrooms. When she returned home around 3 am, the victim said she cut herself with a razor and phoned her stepfather, telling him she was going to kill herself (805).

On 18 Jun 09 a Grandview Township trustee reported the driver of an unknown vehicle struck and damaged the gate at the Grandview Cemetery on Grandview Hill Road in New Matamoras and fled the scene. This incident remains under investigation (805).

On 18 Jun 09 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio responded to the scene of death of a seventy-two year old New Matamoras resident. The man’s death appears to be due to natural causes; no foul play is suspected.

On 18 Jun 09 Carol S. Dicken, age 49, 50 Federal Street, Little Hocking, reported she believes an unauthorized individual utilized her social security number to open an account with AEP. Ms. Dicken said AEP informed her that the account was $2,636 past due and they would not start service at her residence. Contacting AEP, Deputy Sheriff Reeder determined AEP transposed two numbers of Ms. Dickens’ social security number and no fraudulent activity took place.

On 18 Jun 09 Deputy Sheriff Reeder issued a citation to David J. Cline, age 37, 61578 State Route 124, Long Bottom, for operating a vehicle with fictitious plates. Deputy Reeder stopped Mr. Cline on US 50 near Gantsville Road in Belpre Township.

Timothy P. Charlton, age 27, 1681 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, for failing to appear for jury trial on 28 May 09.

Larry L. Crites, age 21, 515 Beauseax Street, Belpre, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $1,012.02.

John L. Duncan, age 35, 496 N. Riverview Road Apt. 16, Malta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $464.10.

Cameron A. Fisher, age 31, State Route 7 Apt. 3A, Marietta, for breach of recognizance for failing to appear for pretrial on 9 Jun 09.

Matthew B. Hahn, age 36, 317 Gilman Avenue Apt. C, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $318.50.

Dennis B. Jeffers, age 32, 511 Bradley Road, Bay Village, OH, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $156.00.

Suzanna C. Mayle, age 37, 267 High Street, Grafton, WV, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $635.50.

Jeremy J. McFall, age 30, 823 Grandview Avenue, New Matamoras, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $205.40.

Derrik R. McGee, age 25, 852 Greene Street Apt. 4, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $888.70.

Justin R. Schroeder, age 27, 6235 Fifteenmile Creek Road, Wingett Run, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $490.10.

Brad E. Soule, age 24, 2973 Harrisburg Road NE, Canton, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $630.50.

Elizabeth M. Westgate, age 48, 12858 State Route 676 Apt. B, Watertown, for the theft of items from Kmart on 5 Jun 09.

Justin M. Williamson, age 27, 505 Bells Run Road, Newport, for breach of recognizance for failing to appear for arraignment on 29 May 09.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Donald Eugene Sharp, age 29, 5285 Buchanan Road, Waterford, for OVI, driving under a suspended license, for operating a vehicle with fictitious plates and for speeding, all misdemeanors. Sharp was arrested near milepost sixteen on State Route 339 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jun 09 at 1:00 am.

Chike Kelley, age 29, 4089 Pingree Street, Detroit, MI, for driving under a suspended license and for speeding, both misdemeanors. Kelley was arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jun 09 at 6:10 am.

Jason Ian Dunn, age 24, 631 Warren Street, Marietta, for theft and for criminal damaging, both misdemeanors. Dunn was arrested on Pike Street by Patrolman Caldwell of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jun 09 at 11:41 am.

David Wayne Floyd, age 38, 410 Jefferson Square, Marietta, for being a fugitive from justice, a felony. Floyd was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jun 09 at 3:59 pm.

Anthony Dewain Cottrill, age 31, 8247 Early Ridge Road, McConnelsville, for breach of recognizance and for failure to appear, both misdemeanors. Cottrill was arrested in Beverly by Patrolman Offenberger of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jun 09 at 4:47 pm.

Eric Wayne Morris, age 27, 80 Smith Drive, Marietta, for being a fugitive from justice, a felony. Morris was arrested at his residence by Detective Staats of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Jun 09 at 5:15 pm.
