On 17 Jun 09 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio arrested
Kenneth E. Jewell, age 50, 105 Race Street, Marietta, for operating
a vehicle with a driver’s license that expired on October
2004. Stopped as he entered the Kroger parking lot, Mr. Jewell
admitted he did not have a valid license. Mr. Jewell is being
held in jail on a parole violation at the request of his parole
officer.
On 17 Jun 09 Carol S. Grayson, age 59, 7487
State Route 550, Vincent, struck a deer as she traveled eastbound
on State Route 550 near house number 13826. Ms. Grayson’s
GMC Jimmy sustained functional damage to the front passenger
side fender. No injuries were reported (1293).
On 17 Jun 09 Christina Anderson, age 43, 455
Joe Skinner Road, Belpre, reported she was involved in a heated
argument with her husband over their pending divorce. Mrs.
Anderson stated to Deputy Sheriff Holbert that her 911 call
was premature and no threat or act of domestic violence occurred.
As a result, Deputy Holbert closed this case as unfounded.
On 17 Jun 09 a fifty-five year old Marietta
resident reported over the past three weeks two individuals
threatened him over work he completed in the Devola area as
part of his job as an employee of the Washington County Sewer
Department. This case remains under investigation (1104).
On 17 Jun 09 Roberta L. Reese, age 79, 142
Rauch Drive, Marietta, reported after she received documents
in the mail confirming she opened a new bank account, she discovered
an unknown suspect used her personal information to accrue
over $2,500 in charges on a credit card under her name. This
case remains under investigation (805).

Office received the following warrants:
Joshua J. Blewett, age 22, 500010 State Route
513, Summerfield, OH, for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $947.05.
Benjamin R. Bruce, age 20, 219 Virginia Street, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $431.60.
Nathan M. Dillon, age 21, 4611 Bentz Cemetery Road, Pomeroy,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $578.50.
Matthew C. Friend, age 39, 4770 County Nine Road, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation by failing to be of
good behavior by being charged with OVI on 26 May 09.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Robert Steven Wade, age 23, 704 Elm Street Apt. 2, Belpre,
for driving under a suspended license, for driving outside
the marked lanes of travel and for not wearing a seat belt,
all misdemeanors. Wade was arrested on Clement Avenue in Belpre
by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 17 Jun 09 at 2:20 am.
Kevin Lee Goodfellow, age 46, 11625 New England Road, Stewart,
OH, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor.
Goodfellow was arrested at the office of Probation Officer
Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail on 17
Jun 09 at 8:25 am.
Kenneth Eugene Jewell, age 50, 105 Race Street,
Marietta, for a felony charge of violating the terms of his
parole and for a misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle
with an expired license. Jewell was arrested at Kroger in Marietta
by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 17 Jun 09 at 3:40 pm.
Jessica Lynn Mantz, age 30, 319 Seventh Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Mantz
was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Caldwell
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 17 Jun 09 at 3:42 pm.
Sherman Lee Larrimore Jr., age 27, 6805 Shay Ridge Road, New
Matamoras, for failing to periodically verify his address as
a registered sex offender and for failing to register a change
of address as a registered sex offender, both felonies. Larrimore
was picked up at the Corrections Reception Center by Deputy
Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 17 Jun 09 at 4:20 pm.
