An inspector with the Ohio Fire Marshall’s Office believes a clear glass object being held by a ceramic figurine in the landscaping may have magnified the sun’s rays and ignited mulch. As a precaution the fire department removed a four foot by eight foot section of the home’s siding to ensure the fire was extinguished.
