On 15 Jun 09 Lt. Gherke transported a twenty-nine
year old New Matamoras resident to Marietta Memorial Hospital
for treatment of superficial wounds he inflicted on his left
forearm. The victim voluntarily checked himself in for further
evaluation.
On 15 Jun 09 Jason Blake, age 19, 123 Shamrock
Drive, Marietta, reported sometime during the previous night
an unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked vehicle and stole
a Sony Explode CD player and a speaker box containing two twelve
inch subwoofers. This case remains under investigation (790).
On 15 Jun 09 Aaron G. Masters, age 45, 4340
State Route 555, Little Hocking, reported he noticed the previous
morning that the rear license plate on his vehicle was missing.
When Deputy Sheriff Lockhart arrived to take a theft report
Mr. Masters informed him that he located the stolen license
plate on a vehicle parked on State Route 339. Confirming the
license plate in fact belonged to Mr. Masters, Deputy Lockhart
removed the plate and returned it to its rightful owner. Attempts
to contact the owner of the vehicle on which the license plate
was attached are continuing.
On 15 Jun 09 Paul Staats, age 45, 3285 Highland
Ridge Road, Lowell, reported his prescription for hydrocodone,
which is delivered via mail order, was stolen from his mailbox
sometime between 8 Jun and 14 Jun. This case remains under
investigation (790).
On 15 Jun 09 an employee of Belpre Township
reported at some point over the weekend an unknown suspect(s)
entered the township building at 225 State Route 339, Little
Hocking, and stole a floor jack and a cordless drill. This
case remains under investigation (707).
The following
individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Lorie Marie Storie, age 26, 2022 Three Towers
Road, Chandlersville, OH, for breach of recognizance and theft,
both felonies. Storie was picked up in Zanesville by Deputy
Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 15 Jun 09 at 1:56 pm.
Harry Burgett Swisher, age 61, 10 Harmar Street, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Swisher
was arrested on the 100 block of Front Street by Patrolman
Kampmeier of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 15 Jun 09 at 8:07 pm.
