On 2 Jun 08 a Decatur Township trustee reported
it appears the driver of a vehicle was doing donuts in the
gravel near the township building and caused a rock to break
a window at the building located at 2111 Welch Road, Cutler.
This case remains under investigation (707, 1008).
On 2 Jun 09 an oil well worker reported finding
an abandoned truck stuck in the mud in the vicinity of Bell
Cemetery Road in Grandview Township. A check of the vehicle’s
VIN revealed it was reported stolen from a residence. The Marietta
City Police Department arranged for the truck to be towed from
the mud and is conducting an investigation in this case (790).
On 2 Jun 09 Jeffrey A. Hardesty, age 48, 87
Tower Road Room 2, Little Hocking, reported following an argument
with acquaintance over the use of an ATV, the acquaintance
appeared at his room and assaulted him. Mr. Hardesty claims
he was punched five times and suffered lacerations to his back
when the acquaintance pushed him into a door and shattered
the glass. The alleged assailant contradicted Mr. Hardesty,
saying Mr. Hardesty charged at him and that he pushed Mr. Hardesty
away in self defense. This case remains under investigation
pending the completion of interviews with additional witnesses
(610).
On 2 Jun 09 Scott Shankland, age 39, Southgate
Trailer Park Lot 34, Marietta, reported sometime overnight
an unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked truck and stole
his recently filled prescription bottles containing the generic
versions of Percocet, Norflex and Relafen. This case remains
under investigation (790).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Patricia Ann Bonar, age 32, 735 Silver Globe
Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a
misdemeanor. Bonar was arrested at her residence by Probation
Officer Ferrell and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 2 Jun 09 at 12:17 am.
Donald Allen Lewis, age 25, 722 State Route
555, Cutler, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony.
Lewis was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Gilchrist
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Jun 09 at
10:55 am.
James Howard Brogan, age 44, 832 Front Street Apt. A, Marietta,
for driving under a suspended license, for operating a vehicle
with an expired registration and for possession of drug paraphernalia,
all misdemeanors. Brogan was arrested on Pike Street by the
Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 2 Jun 09 at 3:50 pm.
Donald Clemens Gerdau, age 51, 306 Putnam Avenue Apt. A, Marietta,
for aggravated menacing, a misdemeanor. Gerdau was arrested
at his residence by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
2 Jun 09 at 9:50 pm.
