On 11 May 09 a witness reported finding several
bags of rubbish along Hunter Avenue in Fearing Township. This
case remains under investigation (1104).
On 11 May 09 Teresa Owens, age 47, 647 Rocky
Point Road, Fleming, reported on 10 Apr 09 she parked a 1987
Ford Thunderbird under a carport at her mother’s residence
at 673 Rocky Point Road and when she returned a month later
there was damage to the windshield and the odometer, the steering
wheel was duct taped and graffiti was written in marker in
various locations. This case remains under investigation (608).
On 11 May 09 Juanita Ferrell, age 53, 135
Warner Second Street, Lower Salem, reported she received a
fraudulent money order from an individual in Texas who desired
to purchase an item she listed for sale in the Marietta Times.
Determining the $975 check for a $40 item was likely a scam,
Ms. Ferrell did not ship any property to the suspect. This
case remains under investigation (597).
On 11 May 09 a thirty-nine year old Lowell
resident reported Brian E. Wallace, age 45, 229 Fourth Street,
Lowell, has been harassing her eleven year old son and recently
said in her son’s presence, “I should blow his
head off and break his fingers so he can’t play again.” The
child’s mother said Mr. Wallace caught her son last month
after her son and his friends rang Mr. Wallace’s doorbell
and ran. Even though the juvenile apologized and is remorseful
for his actions, Mr. Wallace continued to harass the juvenile
during baseball games and at a school dance. Citing the fact
that the juvenile is in fear for his safety, Sgt. Eddy requested
a warrant for Mr. Wallace for menacing by stalking. Wallace
was later located at his residence, arrested and transported
to the Washington County Jail.
On 11 May 09 the owner of Devola Creamland,
4780 State Route 60, Marietta, reported over the past several
days an unknown suspect(s) has disposed of several bags of
trash in a dumpster paid for by his business. This case remains
under investigation (1001).
On 11 May 09 Regina Paugh, age 22, 168 State
Route 339, Belpre, reported she and her boyfriend departed
for work at 4:40 am and when her boyfriend returned after 1
pm the home’s doors were open. Ms. Paugh said the unknown
suspect(s) rummaged through the residence and stole an Xbox
360, twenty games, a Dell computer and monitor, a flat screen
television and a lockbox. This case remains under investigation
(1001).
On 11 May 09 Charity Lasure, age 19, 405 Elm
Street, Belpre, reported her husband Kenneth, age 28, pulled
her hair and struck her in the leg with a plastic piece of
a mini blind when he became angry at her while at their residence
at 27250 State Route 7, Marietta, on 6 May. Mrs. Lasure stated
she was afraid to report the incident at the time because her
husband is very controlling and she sneaked out of the home
with her son while Mr. Lasure slept. Locating Mr. Lasure at
his residence the following day, Deputy Holbert arrested him
for domestic violence and transported him to the Washington
County Jail (594).
The following individual
was processed into the Washington County Jail:
Brian Edward Wallace, age 45, 229 Fourth Street,
Lowell, for menacing by stalking, a felony. Wallace was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Hornbeck and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 11 May 09 at 6:41 pm.
