On 5 May 09 Lorraine Hamrick, age 45, 415 Tower Road, Little Hocking, reported she hosted birthday party for her sister that evening and sometime during the party she believes a friend of one of her guests stole $50 from each of two purses left unattended in a bedroom of her home. This case remains under investigation (707).

The following individual was processed into the Washington County Jail:

Carl Winston Davis Jr., age 22, 6396 State Route 78 NE, McConnelsville, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Winston was picked up in Morgan County by Corrections Officer Sheaves and processed into the Washington County Jail on 5 May 09 at 9:25 am.
