On 4 May 09 Tiffany Hickman, age 23, 530 High
Street, Macksburg, reported she was just involved in an altercation
with her live-in boyfriend Robert Giammona, age 27, and he
left their residence with their young daughter. Intoxicated
and arguing over Mr. Giammona’s previous amorous encounters,
Ms. Hickman said her boyfriend pushed her to the floor, held
her down and punched her in the face and body between eight
and twelve times. Prior to the arrival of Deputies, Ms. Hickman
said Mr. Giamonna phoned her and said he was at his mother’s
residence in Caldwell. A Noble County Sheriff’s Deputy
located Mr. Giammona and brought him to the county line where
Deputy Sheriff Reeder took over custody. Charged with domestic
violence, Mr. Giammona was then transported to the Washington
County Jail.
On 4 May 09 Joseph M. Allen, age 45, 1245
Twin Bridge Road, Little Hocking, reported sometime between
February and late April of this year a CZ 75 9 mm handgun and
a large sum of cash were stolen from his bedroom. This case
remains under investigation (712).
On 4 May 09 Evelyn L. Worstell, age 69, 320
Browns Road, Marietta, reported she is a cosigner on a checking
account with her mother and she recently discovered four checks
missing from the checkbook which was in her mother’s
possession. Ms. Worstell said she believes a family member
stole then checks since three of them, which were cashed for
a total of $400, were written to friends of the family member.
This case remains under investigation (610).
On 4 May 09 at 5:30 am Lt. Stackpole and Deputy
Sheriff Thorpe responded to the report of a shoplifter at the
Hickory Grove service station at 5525 State Route 339, Vincent.
A store clerk caught Cody A. Lee, age 18, 1145 Browns Road,
Marietta, attempting to leave the store with a bag of M&M’s
and a bottle of tea concealed beneath a blanket he wrapped
around his upper body. During the shoplifting investigation
the Sheriff’s Office received a call from Elaine Diddle,
age 53, 391 Spence Road, Belpre, who reported she was awakened
by her dogs barking and noticed she forgot to close her garage
door. Ms. Diddle said when she shut the door she noticed her
daughter’s teal colored mountain bike and a blanket were
missing from the garage. The description of the blanket in
Mr. Lee’s possession matched that of the one stolen from
Ms. Diddle’s garage. Questioned regarding the teal colored
bicycle found outside the store, Mr. Lee stated a friend dropped
him off in the Belpre area and commented he started to get
cold. Seeing the open garage door, Mr. Lee said he took a blanket
for warmth and a bicycle for transportation. In consequence,
Deputy Thorpe arrested Mr. Lee for burglary and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 4 May 09 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio requested
a summons for a sixteen year old Little Hocking resident to
appear in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency by inducing
panic. Following a false fire alarm at Warren High School on
30 Apr 09, witnesses came forward and said the teenager pulled
the alarm. When questioned the teenager admitted activating
the alarm and said that he did so because his friends thought
it would be funny. The juvenile also commented that he didn’t
think he would get caught because he has never previously ever
done anything like that.

were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Chester Bryan Wilson, age 51, 119 Schilling Street, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation and for failure to
appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors.
Wilson was arrested on Ingleside Road in Marietta by Patrolman
Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 May 09 at 1:14 am.
Robert Lee Giammona, age 27, 1211 North Street, Caldwell,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Giammona was arrested
in Macksburg by Deputy Sheriff Reeder and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 4 May 09 at 2:57 am.
Marlena Kay Glidden, age 47, 1211 North Street, Caldwell,
for contempt for failing to pay fines, a misdemeanor. Glidden
was arrested in Macksburg by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 May 09 at 3:24 am.
Cody Allen Lee, age 18, 1145 Browns Road, Marietta, for burglary,
a felony. Lee was arrested in Belpre by Deputy Sheriff Thorpe
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 May 09 at
7:33 am.
Michael Brian Page, age 42, 817 Masonic Park Road Lot 1, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Page
was arrested in Marietta Municipal Court by Probation Officer
Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on
4 May 09 at 9:58 am.
Scott James Freeman, age 27, 35332 Hanson
Road, Beverly, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines, for contempt for failing to pay fines and
for failure to appear, all misdemeanors. Freeman was picked
up at the Noble County Jail by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 May 09 at
10:30 am.
Michael James Farnsworth, age 20, 5775 Michaelis Road, Marietta,
for a felony charge of violating the terms of his probation
and for a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency/unruliness
of a minor. Farnsworth was picked up at SEPTA in Nelsonville
by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 4 May 09 at 1:36 pm.
Roy-Allen L. Bumpers, age 25, 4681 Country Lane Apt. 360,
Cleveland, for speeding, a misdemeanor. Bumpers was arrested
on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 May 09 at 5:27 pm.
Jamie Marie Hower, age 3482 90th Street, Cleveland, for OVI,
driving under a suspended license, speeding, breach of recognizance,
driving under an FRA suspended license, hit-skip, possession
of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs and speeding, all
misdemeanors. Hower was picked up in Cleveland by Deputy Sheriff
Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on
4 May 09 at 5:48 pm.
Dewaine William Mayle, age 21, 201 State Street, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines and for failure to appear, both misdemeanors. Mayle was
arrested on State Street by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 May 09 at 10:35 pm.
