On 28 Apr 09 the Barlow emergency squad transported
Todd Russell, age 44, 708 Montgomery Street, Marietta, to Marietta
Memorial Hospital after a fall from a ladder. Mr. Russell was
on the ladder twelve feet above the ground working on a friend’s
barn next door to 911 Pine Ridge Road, Fleming. A gust of wind
blew the ladder over causing R. Russell to fall and injuring
both of his ankles. The severity of Mr. Russell’s injuries
are unknown at this time (608).
On 28 Apr 09 a thirty-seven year old Marietta
resident reported when she awoke at 2:30 am her seventeen year
old son was missing from the residence. Located during school
hours at the Washington County Career Center where he is a
student, the teenager said he and his mother had been arguing
for days and that he left the residence after his mother fell
asleep in order to avoid escalating the confrontation further
(608).
On 28 Apr 09 a twenty-eight year old Macksburg
resident reported on 25 Apr she received an obscene picture
on her mobile phone. The sender of the photo identified himself
as an eleven year old Macksburg resident and said he took the
photo of himself. The victim declined to pursue the matter
further, only wanting the matter reported and for the juvenile
to receive counseling if necessary (805).
On 28 Apr 09 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio requested
summonses for disorderly conduct for Earl Pugh, age 70, 402
Robinson Hill Road, Marietta; Aaron Douthitt, age 27, 904 Briggs
Hill Road, Belpre; Theda Smallwood, age 47, 410 Robinson Ill
Road, Marietta; and Wanda Boley, age 45, 436 Robinson Hill
Road, Marietta. The parties were involved in a dispute on Ms.
Smallwood’s property on 27 Apr 09 and videotaped as they
spewed obscenities at each other, acted in a threatening manner
and engaged in other turbulent behavior. Deputy Travaglio also
requested a summons for Ms. Smallwood’s seventeen year
old son to appear in Juvenile Court for delinquency by aggravated
menacing. During the incident the teenager said he grabbed
an unloaded shotgun and stood in the doorway of his home, hoping
he would scare the crowd away from his property. The juvenile
said he did not point the weapon at or threaten anyone nor
did he exit the residence with it (500, 594, 805).

wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jason Eugene Wolfe, age 36, 233 Hillcrest
Drive Apt. A, Marietta, for violating the terms of a protection
order, a misdemeanor. Wolfe was arrested at his residence by
Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Apr 09 at 10:43
am.
