On 24 Apr 09 Deputy Sheriff Holbert arrested Richard R. Clinton, age 55, 1058 Old River Road, Williamstown, for OVI. Stopped on State Route 821 for driving left of center, Mr. Clinton had an odor of alcohol and red, watery eyes. Though he admitted drinking two beers in three hours, Mr. Clinton performed poorly on field sobriety tests. When transported to the Washington County Jail, Mr. Clinton refused a BAC test.

On 24 Apr 09 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart arrested Wilson Bubner, age 20, 1605 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, for driving under an FRA suspended license. Deputy Lockhart stopped Mr. Bubner on State Route 7 near Gravel Bank Road in Warren Township.

On 24 Apr 09 Deputy Sheriff Mankins issued a citation to Timothy A. Cline, age 20, 24689 State Route 26, New Matamoras, for driving left of center. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Cline on State Route 26 near Jennings Hill Road in Marietta Township.

On 24 Apr 09 Hope S. Engle, age 32, 155 State Route 555, Little Hocking, reported she was involved in a disagreement with her husband and in a rage he threw items to the floor. Interviewing the involved parties, Sgt. Underwood determined Ms. Engle attempted to avoid discussion of infidelity with her husband by turning on a clock radio and by opening a book. In an effort to facilitate a conversation of their faltering marriage Ms. Engle’s husband threw the clock radio and book to the floor. Neither party commented they feared for their safety during the argument and the two agreed to sleep at different locations for the night. Therefore, Sgt. Underwood closed this case as unfounded.

On 24 Apr 09 Deputy Sheriff Lockhart issued a citation to Wesley T. Cox, age 24, 309 George Creek Road, Gallipolis, for traveling 70 mph in a 55 mph zone. Deputy Mankins stopped Mr. Cox near on State Route 7 near Joe Skinner Road in Warren Township.

On 24 Apr 09 Deputy Sheriff Reynolds requested a summons for Gloria D. Brown, age 43, 111 Arborgate Drive, Marietta, for four counts of contributing to the delinquency/unruliness of a minor. The affidavit Deputy Reynolds filed alleges Mrs. Brown hosted a party for her teenage son and knowingly allowed minors at the party, other than her son, to consume alcohol on her property on 9 Apr 09. Four of the juveniles in question were apprehended on 9 Apr 09 and admitted consuming alcohol at the party. Deputy Reynolds previously filed charges on the juveniles for delinquency by underage consumption of alcohol.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Roger William Burkhart Jr., age 24, 215 Sheldon Avenue, Marietta, for operating a vehicle without a license, a misdemeanor. Burkhart was arrested on Gilman Avenue in Marietta by Sgt. Eddy of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Apr 09 at 12:10 am.

Richard Ray Clinton, age 55, 1058 Old River Road, Williamstown, for OVI, a misdemeanor. Clinton was arrested on State Route 821 by Deputy Sheriff Holbert and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Apr 09 at 12:45 am.

Brandon Paul Layman, age 27, 112 Holly Street, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license and for failure to appear, both misdemeanors. Layman was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Apr 09 at 11:15 am.

Wilson Bubner, age 20, 1605 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Bubner was arrested on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Lockhart and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Apr 09 at 2:40 pm.

Clifton Dwayne Collins, 223 Greene Street, Marietta, for a felony charge of failure to register a change of address as a registered sex offender and for misdemeanor charges of breach of recognizance and failure to appear. Collins was picked up in Pike County, Kentucky by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Apr 09 at 5:38 pm.

Andrea Dawn Clay, age 23, 48 Dutch Hills Terrace Apt. 135, Parkersburg, for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Clay was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Apr 09 at 7:20 pm.

Ronald Bruce Sheridan, age 38, 836 Pike Street, Marietta, for theft, a misdemeanor. Sheridan was arrested at Wal-Mart by Patrolman Heddleston of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Apr 09 at 7:26 pm.

Eric Brandon Siders, age 20, 6070 Sandhill Road, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation and for failure to appear, both misdemeanors. Siders was arrested on State Route 26 by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Apr 09 at 10:59 pm.

Randall Lee Shields, age 51, 120 Aqua Isle Circle, Parkersburg, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Shields was arrested on State Route 821 by Deputy Sheriff Thorpe and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Apr 09 at 11:15 pm.
