On 22 Apr 09 Deputy Sheriff Spencer issued
a citation to Philip M. Cring Jr., age 40, 613 Carson Lane,
Little Hocking, for driving under a suspended license. Deputy
Spencer originally stopped Mr. Cring for not stopping at a
stop sign at the intersection of State Route 618 and Carson
Lane in Belpre Township.
On 22 Apr 09 a manager at Influent, 27851
State Route 7, Marietta, reported finding a purse in the women’s
restroom that contained two small bags of marijuana and a blue
marijuana pipe. No employees commented about losing or misplacing
a purse and the purse did not contain any identifying information.
Therefore Deputy Sheriff Travaglio took possession of the contraband
and will arrange for its destruction.
On 22 Apr 09 Deputy Sheriff Travaglio responded
to the scene of death of an eighty-two year old Marietta resident.
The man’s death appears natural; no foul play is suspected.

Office received the following warrants:
Tracy E. Lamp, age 32, 85 Hill Street, Whipple,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $81.90.
Jason B. Whittaker, age 31, 22781 State Route 60, Beverly,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $1,295.90.
Keith A. Drake, age 22, 402 Jefferson Square, Marietta, for
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines
in the sum of $921.05.
Camille L. Gazzale, age 30, 4135 Highland Ridge Road, Lowell,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $1,950.20.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
David Lee Oliver, age 43, 118 Cullen Road,
Marietta, for disorderly conduct by fighting, a misdemeanor.
Oliver was arrested at his residence by Patrolman McCracken
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 22 Apr 09
at 6:05 am.
Chad Anthony Moore, age 39, 1205 County House
Lane Apt. A, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation,
a misdemeanor. Moore was arrested at the office of Probation
Officer Hamilton and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 22 Apr 09 at 9:33 am.
