On 19 Apr 09 Sgt. Norman and Deputy Sheriffs
Hornbeck, Reeder and Travaglio responded to a domestic dispute
at 23555 State Route 339, Beverly. One of the involved parties,
Charity Armstrong, age 25, said she and her husband argued
about marital problems for over two hours and during the dispute
her husband made statements about setting fire to their home.
Mrs. Armstrong stated she did not fear for her safety during
the incident and did not believe her husband would cause her
any harm. Therefore, Deputy Travaglio closed this case as unfounded.
On 19 Apr 09 David M. Bauerbach, age 34, 650
Nichols Road, Whipple, reported he believed several unknown
persons were inside a vacant home he owns at 405 Beckers Lane
in Lowell. Mr. Bauerbach said the house has been vacant for
five years and is frequently used as a “party house.” Entering
through a broken window since the rear door was nailed shut,
Sgt. Norman and Deputy Sheriffs Hornbeck, Reeder and Travaglio
found seven male juveniles as well as a nearly empty bottle
of vodka and a cooler containing several cans of Budweiser.
When informed of the situation, Mr. Bauerbach said he would
not pursue charges against the teenagers if they removed the
rubbish from the home and promised not to return. Once the
teenagers cleaned the home the juveniles were released to the
custody of their parents.
