On 13 Apr 09 Sheryl L. Westfall, age 54, 200
Woodland Acres Road, Marietta, reported during a four month
period ending in December 2008, a number of items were stolen
from her home. Stolen items, which belonged to her and her
niece who resides at the residence, are gold rings, $170 cash,
a hammer drill, a chainsaw and a Sony video camera. Ms. Westfall
estimates the total loss is over $2,000. This case remains
under investigation (805).
On 13 Apr 09 John Pottmeyer, age 68, 9263
State Route 60, Lowell, reported he has been involved in an
ongoing property dispute with a neighbor and his neighbor recently
made comments he perceived as threatening. This case remains
under investigation (594).
On 13 Apr 09 Sheila Hanson, age 43, 1480 Braun
Road, Belpre, reported her husband returned home following
a four day alcohol binge and an argument ensued. Exacerbating
the situation, Mrs. Hanson said her mother in law appeared
at the residence uninvited and began arguing with her as well.
The involved parties said no physical confrontation occurred
and that they did not want to pursue any charges in the matter
(608).
On 13 Apr 09 Joan Plessinger, age 53, 14460
County Nine Road, New Matamoras, reported sometime during the
past month an unknown suspect stole the rear license plate,
Ohio number DDB 4343, from her vehicle. This case remains under
investigation (805).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Christopher Clay Caskin, age 28, 1007 Orchard
Street Apt. 4, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation,
a felony. Caskin was arrested at the office of Probation Officer
Gault and processed into the Washington County Jail on 13 Apr
09 at 11:30 am.
Jason Christopher Davis, age 25, 304 Blennerhassett Avenue
Lot 5, Belpre, for two felony counts of trafficking in drugs.
Davis was arrested at his residence by Detective Staats of
the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and was processed
into the Washington County Jail on 13 Apr 09 at 8:04 pm.
Scott Lee Carpenter, age 46, 413 ½ Third Street, Marietta,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Carpenter was arrested
at his residence by Patrolman McClelland of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 13 Apr 09 at 9:00 pm.
Ryan Lee Adams, age 22, 801 Pomeroy Pike, Belpre, for failure
to appear, a misdemeanor. Adams turned himself in to Patrolman
Fields of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 13 Apr 09 at 11:52 pm.
