On 6 Apr 09 Francis E. Kenney, age 52, 100 Stanley Street, Newport, suffered an injury to his left foot when a 320 pound roll of rubber matting fell off a processing machine at RJF International at 700 BF Goodrich Road, Marietta. Transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital by the Oak Grove Fire Department, Mr. Kenney was being treated for either a deep bruise or a broken foot (712).

On 6 Apr 09 Darlene Shutts, age 51, 2720 Turkey Hollow Road, Cutler, reported she believes a family member obtained her debit card number and used it to pay for a total of $1,874.74 in charges on his mobile phone. This case remains under investigation (953).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Janie Dawn Wise, age 34, 625 Tower Road, Little Hocking, for driving under a suspended license, for failure to register a vehicle and for possession of drugs, all misdemeanors. Wise was arrested in New Matamoras by Chief Bourne of the New Matamoras Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 09 at 12:51 am.

Seth Harper Wheatley, age 29, 1106 Carriage Hill Drive, Athens, for OVI, failure to appear, for failure to reinstate his operator’s license and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Wheatley was picked up in Athens by Sgt. Eddy of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 09 at 6:30 am.

Jeffery Doyle Miller, age 21, 504 Walnut Street, Belpre, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Miller was arrested on State Route 555 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 09 at 2:15 pm.

Ronald Lee Cyrus Hornbeck, age 37, Fifth Street Apt. 18, Belpre, for contempt of a court order, failure to appear and for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, all misdemeanors. Hornbeck was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 6 Apr 09 at 7:30 pm.
