On 2 Apr 09 Deputy Sheriff Anderson investigated
a report of a Fort Frye High School student who became ill
after reportedly ingesting a prescription pill given to him
by an acquaintance the previous evening. Deputy Anderson was
unable to substantiate the student’s claim, as the mother
of the student who allegedly gave him the pill maintains strict
control of her son’s medication. Therefore, Deputy Anderson
closed this case as unfounded.
On 2 Apr 09 Troy Barth, age 45, 570 Hanschumaker
Road, Marietta, complained of a lower leg injury after hitting
a bump and flipping his motorcycle while riding on a private
track at 685 County Nine Road, Marietta. A witness said when
the bike flipped it pinned Mr. Barth’s ankle against
a peg hook on the motorcycle. The Reno Fire Department transported
Mr. Barth to Selby Hospital for treatment (107).

Donald J. Covey, age 34, 11565 State Route
821, Lowell, or failing to appear for pretrial on 31 Mar 09.
Ryan A. Hickel, age 23, 23971 Moyis Road, Coolville, for failing
to appear for pretrial on 31 Mar 09.
Pebble M. Longfellow, age 23, 2289 Blue Knob Road, Marietta,
for criminal trespassing on 14 Nov 08.
The following individual
wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:
Edward Joseph Milam, age 30, 2309 Washington
Boulevard, Belpre, for a felony charge of having a weapon while
under disability and for a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence.
Milam was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Stump of the
Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 2 Apr 09 at 1:12 am.
