On 30 Mar 09 Melody A. Poulton, age 41, 300
Starlite Drive Lot 59, Marietta, reported she received notification
from her bank that an unknown suspect attempted to transfer
$79 from her account and that her account was penalized $23
for being overdrawn. An employee at Huntington Bank in Columbus
said the transfer appears to be accidental and Ms. Poulton
would not be penalized. This case remains under investigation
(1106).
On 30 Mar 09 an employee of the Marietta Township
Street Department reported finding two bags of trash in the
area of 1545 Millers Lane. Unable to ascertain the identity
of the owner of the rubbish, Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio will
arrange for disposal of the trash and close this case.
On 30 Mar 09 Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio arrested
Charles R. Carney, age 19, 1045 Sandhill Road Lot 11, Marietta,
for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Observing Mr. Carney and two other individuals in a parked
vehicle along State Route 26 at Lane Farm Campground, Deputy
Travaglio stopped to investigate. When she approached the vehicle
Deputy Travaglio smelled an odor of marijuana and interviewed
Carney, who was seated in the driver’s seat. Mr. Carney
admitted smoking marijuana in the vehicle and gave to Deputy
Travaglio a small quantity of marijuana and a pipe packed full
of marijuana.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Elizabeth Marie Westgate, age 48, 12858 State
Route 676 Apt. B, Waterford, for theft, a misdemeanor. Westgate
was arrested at Sponey’s IGA by Patrolman Hunter of the
Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 30 Mar 09 at 12:45 pm.
Carl Nelson Robison, age 41, 121 ½ Greene Street Apt.
3, Marietta, for attempted murder, a felony. Robison was arrested
in Marietta by Detective Hawkins of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
30 Mar 09 at 9:10 pm.
Charles Ryan Carney, age 19, 1045 Sandhill Road Lot 11, Marietta,
for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia,
both misdemeanors. Carney was arrested near milepost seven
on State Route 26 by Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 30 Mar 09 at 11:20 pm.
Henry Nelson Harper, age 44, 7705 Euga Road, Newcomerstown,
OH, for reckless operation and for operating a vehicle with
a license that expired more than six months ago, both misdemeanors.
Harper was arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30
Mar 09 at 11:33 pm.
