DRUG TRAFFICKING ARREST
Another battle in the ongoing war on drugs raging in the mid-Ohio
valley reached a pivotal point yesterday with the arrest of
Michael A. Hudson, age 20, 277 Water Street, Lowell, for two
fourth degree felony counts of trafficking in drugs within
1,000 feet of a school and for two fifth degree felony counts
of trafficking in marijuana. The two transactions occurring
in the vicinity of a school, one of which involved cocaine
and the other marijuana, took place on Buell Island in Lowell
and transpired on 1 May 08 and 5 May 08, respectively. The
remaining transactions of marijuana, transpiring on 1 May 08
and 17 Aug 08, occurred on Virginia Street in Marietta and
within Wal-Mart.
Hudson, believed to be a large supplier of narcotics in Lowell
and the surrounding area, remains incarcerated in the Washington
County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Kevin Wayne Lott, age 38, 4418 11th Avenue,
Parkersburg, for OVI, driving under a suspended license, for
driving outside the marked lanes of travel and for operating
a vehicle with fictitious plates, all misdemeanors. Lott was
arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Mar 09
at 1:26 am.
Murlyn Patrick Cline, age 42, 557 Short Brook
Road, Vincent, for violating the terms of his probation, a
misdemeanor. Cline was arrested on State Route 339 by Sgt.
Underwood of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Mar 09 at 5:00
pm.
Michael Scott Ludwig, age 33, 43850 State Route 26, Woodsfield,
for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Ludwig was picked up
at the Monroe County line by Sgt. Johnson of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 24 Mar 09 at 8:00 pm.
