On 19 Mar 09 Dale L. Offenberger, age 54, 590 Offenberger Road, Whipple, fractured his left arm during an accident with his farm tractor. Mr. Offenberger said the tractor lost its steering, both brakes and coasted down into his pasture toward a fence. Passing through the fence and into another pasture, Mr. Offenberger stated he bailed off the tractor when he realized it was headed into the woods. The Devola Fire Department transported Mr. Offenberger to Selby Hospital for treatment (610).

On 19 Mar 09 Peter A. Tinney, age 58, Route 1 Box 82, Marlinton, WV, reported his four foot by six foot utility trailer was stolen from Brien’s Greenhouse at 35411 State Route 7, Newport. Mr. Tinney said he loaned the trailer to his daughter to use at the greenhouse and he last saw the trailer on 18 Feb 09. This case remains under investigation (1184).

the Sheriff’s Office received the following warrants:

Michael L. McMannis, age 47, 38190 Keithtown Road, Caldwell, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $309.40.

Brian Patterson, age 26, 1820 Bungalow Avenue, Huntington, WV, for trafficking in cocaine on 2 Dec 08, 5 Dec 08 and 10 Dec 08.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Ivy Magen Ferrell, age 18, 1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. 3C, New Matamoras, for assault, a misdemeanor. Ferrell was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Eddy and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 09 at 2:23 am.

April Dawn Wells, age 20, 1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. 3E, for assault, a misdemeanor. Wells was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Eddy and processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Mar 09 at 2:36 am.
