On 12 Mar 09 Cory E. Knox, age 25, 1719 Rosenbush
Road, Newport, reported when he returned to his residence from
work at 3 pm he found his old camper and his storage building
completely burnt. Mr. Knox said the camper was only worth what
he could obtain by scrapping it but the small storage building
contained two ATV’s, tools, rims and other items. Members
of the Newport Fire Department said the fire was almost out
when they arrived and even though the cause of the fire is
unknown it doesn’t appear suspicious (1184).
On 12 Mar 09 Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio requested
a summons for Isaac Martin, age 38, 1307 E. Poplar Street Apt.
3, Davisville, WV, for theft. Mr. Martin allegedly stole a
Nintendo DS from a friend’s residence in Waterford on
16 Feb 09.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Frank E. Muldoon, age 30, 4130 Whitebridge
Road NE, Dover, OH, for failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $635.70.
Billy J. Carter, age 36, 100 Sierra Drive, Marietta, for failure
to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the
sum of $609.70.
Matthew S. Nixon, age 27, 960 Cats Creek Road, Lowell, for
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines
in the sum of $221.00.
John J. Carpenter, age 34, 4220 Welch Road, Little Hocking,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $221.00.
Daniel S. Powell, age 33, 438 W. Main Street, Chillicothe,
for violating the terms of his probation by failing to show
proof of completing counseling and for failing to report to
the Probation Department as ordered by the court.
Clifton D. Collins, age 28, 223 Greene Street Apt. 1, Marietta,
for breach of recognizance for failing to appear for pretrial
on 3 Mar 09.
Brian Singer, age 32, 4304 Ninth Avenue, Vienna, for telecommunications
harassment on 31 Jan 09.
Jeremiah Reams, age 25, 809 Warren Street, Belpre, for criminal
trespassing on 28 Jan 09.
Quinton M. Gaskins, age 18, 6101 State Route 60, Lowell, for
parking his vehicle on the lawn strip at the 100 block of S.
Sixth Street, Marietta on 3 Oct 08.
The following
individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Patrick Dean Worstell, age 24, 320 Browns
Road, Marietta, for two felony counts of forgery and for a
misdemeanor charge of failure to appear at a court ordered
hearing on unpaid fines. Worstell was arrested at his residence
by Lt. Canavan of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12 Mar 09
at 10:38 am.
Charles Edward Grodhaus, age 29, 530 ½ High Street,
Macksburg, for driving under a suspended license, a misdemeanor.
Grodhaus was arrested on State Route 60 by the Ohio State Highway
Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 12
Mar 09 at 1:14 pm.
Dustin Edward Allen, age 29, Marietta, for trafficking in
drugs and for possession of drugs, both felonies. Allen was
arrested at Influent by Deputy Sheriff Travaglio and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 12 Mar 09 at 1:58 pm.
