On 4 Mar 09 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio responded
to the scene of death of a seventy-five year old Whipple resident.
It appears the woman’s death was caused by an accidental
fall that caused trauma to her head. No foul play is suspected.
On 4 Mar 09 Grace Bauerbach, age 67, 985 Rhodes
Road, Lowell, reported when she arrived home at 1:30 pm after
being gone for six hours she discovered the contents of the
drawers strewn about the floor. A further examination of the
home found dresser drawers open and bed linens in disarray.
Ms. Bauerbach stated it appears an unknown suspect(s) broke
the glass of her basement door to enter the home and fled in
possession of numerous collectible coins, a watch, a ruby ring,
earrings, several credit cards and a bottle of medication that
expired in 1999. This case remains under investigation (945).
On 4 Mar 09 Deputy Sheriff Tornes requested
a warrant for Sherman L. Larrimore, age 27, unknown address,
for failure to register a change of address as a registered
sex offender. A routine address verification on 26 Feb 09 revealed
Mr. Larrimore no longer resided at his registered address in
New Matamoras and had vacated the location in the middle of
January.
On 4 Mar 09 a member of the Blennerhassett
Area Radio Control Club, Carson Avenue, Little Hocking, reported
at some point during the past week vandals removed eight, eight
foot fluorescent lights from an unlocked building on the property
and shattered the lights on the ground. The unknown suspect(s)
also overturned chairs and other items and tore down two signs.
Having knowledge of juveniles in the area, Sgt. Underwood identified
and obtained confessions from three teenagers who reside near
the club. The club member said an amenable solution would be
for the juveniles to make restitution. If the teenagers fail
to do so charges of criminal damaging will be pursued.
On 4 Mar 09 an employee of Steers Heating
and Cooling, 3311 Dudley Avenue, Parkersburg, reported the
business repaired a control board on a furnace at a residence
in Belpre on 24 Nov 08 and received a check from the homeowner
for $216 that was later returned for non-sufficient funds.
Despite repeated attempts the bookkeeper for Steers said the
business has been unable to recoup the funds. This case remains
under investigation (8411).
On 4 Mar 09 Tara Bichard, age 24, 700 Bear
Creek Road, Lowell, reported while she and her live-in boyfriend
were at work between 9:30 am and 7:15 pm an unknown suspect(s)
forcibly entered their home. Once inside the suspect’s
ransacked the home, opened drawers and stole 200 DVD’s,
a Blueray disc player, a DVD player, a muzzleloader, a shotgun
and two necklaces. This case remains under investigation (1106).

Jennifer H. McGill, age 31, 42500 Township
Road 659, Summerfield, OH, for failure to appear at a court
ordered hearing on unpaid fines in the sum of $480.
Donald A. O’Brien, age 21, 868 Schott Road, Waterford,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $267.
Kayla M. Sites, age 23, 69 N. Seventh Street, McConnelsville,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $125.
Jason B. Whitaker, age 31, 22781 State Route 60, Beverly,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $528.
Kenneth E. Wriston, age 34, 303 38th Street, Vienna, for failing
to appear to serve nine days in jail on 29 Jan 09.
Keith Francis, age 52, 100 Sandpiper Village
Apt. B, Saint Marys, for failing to appear for a contempt of
court
hearing on 26 Feb 09.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Gary Lee Mayle Jr., age 31, 201 State Street,
Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Mayle was arrested
in Marietta Municipal Court by Patrolman Ellenwood of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 4 Mar 09 at 9:40 am.
Jarrod Michael Bauerbach, age 29, 200 Pennock
Drive Lot 63, Beverly, for two felony counts of possession
of drugs. Bauerbach was picked up at the Noble Correctional
Institution by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 4 Mar 09 at 2:25 pm.
Michael Lee Hurst, age 30, 213 Ingleside Avenue, Marietta,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Hurst
was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Hamilton and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Mar 09 at 3:00
pm.
John Andrew Pullins, age 30, 38815 Gold Ridge Road, Pomeroy,
for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Pullins
was picked up in Toledo by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 4 Mar 09 at 3:59 pm.
Scottie Dean Richards, age 40, 150 Harmar Street, Marietta,
for failure to reinstate his operator’s license and for
falsification, both misdemeanors. Richards was arrested near
Market Street on State Route 7 by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Mar 09 at 10:06
pm.
