On 21 Feb 09 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio responded to a report of a male and a female involved in an argument in the vicinity of 10 Browns Road Apt. 5D, Marietta. At the scene Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio found Scott Morrow, age 36, intoxicated and agitated. For his safety, Deputy Travaglio conducted a pat down search of Mr. Morrow and located a butterfly knife in Mr. Morrow’s pocket. Through further investigation Deputy Travaglio determined Mr. Morrow shouted profanities at the woman and pushed her in an attempt to force her from his home because she refused to leave. In consequence Deputy Travaglio arrested Mr. Morrow for carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 21 Feb 09 Deputy Sheriff McLeish issued a citation to Jessica S. Haught, age 24, 1225 County House Lane, Marietta, for driving under an FRA suspended license. Deputy McLeish stopped Ms. Haught at the intersection of State Route 26 and County House Lane in Marietta Township.

On 21 Feb 09 Michelle Thompson, age 34, 4370 Fifteenmile Creek Road, Marietta, reported she fled her residence with her eight year old daughter after they were both assaulted by her live-in boyfriend Russell L. When the child asked Mr. Hanes to stop screaming he dragged her off a bed and a struggled ensued between the three residents. During the struggle Mr. Hanes gripped the child by the hair, choked the girl and punched Ms. Thompson as she tried to free her daughter from Mr. Hanes’ clutches. Interviewed at his residence, Mr. Hanes had scratches and bite marks consistent with the juvenile’s and Ms. Thompson’s accounts of the incident. Mr. Hanes could not provide a plausible explanation of how Mr. Thompson and her daughter received their injuries and claimed the eighty pound child was “beating the [expletive]” out of him. As a result of the incident Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio arrested Mr. Thompson for two counts of domestic violence and transported him to the Washington County Jail.
