On 6 Feb 09 the Newport Volunteer Fire Department
transported a thirty-nine year old Marietta resident to Marietta
Memorial Hospital after he ingested several pills from his
father’s prescription medications. Also highly intoxicated,
the victim said he had marital and legal problems and that
he was depressed (508).
On 6 Feb 09 a thirty-nine year old Marietta
resident reported for the past two weeks her ex-husband has
been making harassing phone calls to her residence and to the
residence of her parents. This case remains under investigation
(695).
On 6 Feb 09 James Logan, age 54, 604 Walnut
Street, Belpre, reported sometime during the past three weeks
an unknown suspect(s) cut the lock off his storage unit at
1405 Hocking Road, Belpre, and stole a slow cooker and a smoker,
a loss of $350. This case remains under investigation (707).
On 6 Feb 09 Deputy Sheriff Coppernoll requested
a summons for a sixteen year old Marietta resident to appear
in Juvenile Court for being delinquent. An employee at Frontier
High School reported when the teenager arrived at school he
had a strong odor of marijuana, his eyes were bloodshot and
his eyelids were barely open. Though he initially denied any
wrongdoing the juvenile later admitted he smoked half of a
joint before he left home for school. The teenager also said
he has smoked one or two joints a week for the past two years.
On 6 Feb 09 Helen Cox, age 41, 1800 School
House Road, Little Hocking, reported she believes a stray bullet
traveled through her bathroom window and became stuck between
two walls after penetrating a panel of drywall. This case remains
under investigation (707).
On 6 Feb 09 Christina Garland, age 42, 20040
State Route 676, Marietta, reported she pulled to the side
of the road prior to backing her GMC Sonoma into her driveway
when the truck’s tires lost traction in the ice and snow.
The vehicle slid backwards off the roadway and struck a gas
main, causing a minor gas leak and minor damage to the rear
undercarriage on the truck’s passenger side. The gas
line was repaired after briefly being shut off and Ms. Garland’s
vehicle towed back to the roadway. Ms. Garland suffered no
injuries (790).
On 6 Feb 09 Bobby Werry, age 55, 1700 Dugan
Road, Belpre, reported the lock was cut off his storage unit
at Porterfield Mini-Storage at 25 State Route 339, Belpre,
sometime after 14 Jan 09. Mr. Werry said the suspect(s) stole
a George Foreman grill, a set of golf clubs and golf balls,
a total loss of approximately $1,500. This case remains under
investigation (790).

Office received the following warrants:
Juan C. Alvarez, age 37, 8931 Gifford Road,
Amherst, OH, for traveling 80 mph in a 65 mph zone, his third
such offense within a year.
Christopher B. Border, age 23, 415 Shrivel Road, Stockport,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $739.70.
Anthony C. Coleman, age 26, 1340 S. Bailey Ridge Road, Malta,
for violating the terms of his probation by failing to obtain
a valid operator’s license as ordered by the court.
Kimberly A. Donnadio, age 49, 10 N. Glenellen Avenue, Youngstown,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $1,076.40.
Christina L. Faulkner, age 35, 3122 Third Street NW, Canton,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $448.50.
William E. Lemon, age 41, 179 E. Bergey Street, Wadsworth,
OH, for uttering a traveler’s check in the amount of
$100 on 2 Feb 09.
Nicole R. Lowers, age 31, 305 Center Street, Beverly, for
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines
in the sum of $483.60.
Michael L. Roux, age 37, 26115 State Route 7, Marietta, for
failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines
in the sum of $1,383.90.
James D. Somerville, age 41, 154 Dee Street Lot 9, Waverly,
WV, for failing to appear to serve seven days in jail on 2
Feb 09.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Trace Leanne Kuhn, age 40, 1209 Cisler Drive
Apt. C, Marietta, a fugitive from justice. Kuhn was arrested
at her residence by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 6 Feb 09 at 11:30 am.
Marty Lewan Bass, age 39, 702 Franklin Avenue, Belpre, for
a felony count of failure to appear and for two misdemeanor
counts of failure to appear. Bass was picked up at the North
Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Underwood and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 6 Feb 09 at 3:33 pm.
