On 3 Feb 09 a seventeen year old Beverly resident was traveling southbound on Dietz Lane in Beverly when her Ford Escort was struck by a Ford F-150 driven by Duane Lundsford, age 22, 878 Needs Green Acres, Waterford. Mr. Lundsford was traveling eastbound on Applegate Drive and was unable to stop due to icy conditions on the roadway. While Mr. Lundsford’s vehicle was undamaged, the teenager’s vehicle sustained functional damage to the front driver’s side fender. No injuries were reported (1090).

On 3 Feb 09 Kathi Lowe, age 50, 3558 Schoolhouse Road, Little Hocking, reported her eleven year old foster child left her home and was possibly en route to his mother’s home in Marietta. The juvenile later phoned the Sheriff’s Office from a residence on Dawes Circle and returned to the custody of his foster family (707).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Ashley Maupin Groome, age 22, 45 Acosta Avenue, Wheeling, WV, for driving under a suspended license and for speeding, both misdemeanors. Groome was arrested near milepost ten on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Feb 09 at 10:48 am.

Felicity Dawn Jackson, age 19, 1985 Roberts Road, Amesville, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Jackson was arrested near the rest area in Barlow by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Feb 09 at 11:56 am.

Shane Michael Hardie, age 33, 212 Maple Street, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Hardie was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Blasko of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Feb 09 at 1:19 pm.

Thomas Lee Doty II, age 40, 328 Arch Street, Barnesville, OH, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor. Doty was picked up at the Monroe County Jail by Deputy Sheriff O’Brien and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Feb 09 at 5:12 pm.

Harlen Rea Flesher Sr., age 34, 127 Greene Street Apt. B, Newport, for driving under an FRA suspended license and for not wearing a seat belt, both misdemeanors. Flesher was arrested at the intersection of State Route 60 and State Route 339 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 3 Feb 09 at 8:02 pm.
