On 31 Jan 09 William Grizer, age 44, 1532
Nichols Road, Whipple, reported a lighted candle unintentionally
set a fire to a piano in his home. The Fearing Township Fire
Department extinguished the piano, which Mr. Grizer pushed
out of the home, and began the process of ejecting smoke from
the residence. No injuries were reported.
On 31 Jan 09 Deputy Sheriff Richards requested
a summons for a seventeen year old Belpre resident to appear
in Juvenile Court for being unruly. The teenager’s mother
reported her daughter failed to return home from a friend’s
home and she believed her daughter was at her boyfriend’s
home. The juvenile was located at her boyfriend’s residence
on Moody Ridge Road and returned to the custody of her parents.
On 31 Jan 09 Brian Brum, age 45, 570 Coal
Run Drive, Beverly, reported when he awoke that morning his
GMC truck was missing. Further investigation revealed Mr. Brum
was highly intoxicated the previous evening and did not recall
that he allowed a friend to drive the vehicle to his residence.
Mr. Brum contacted his friend and retrieved his vehicle (500,
1090).
On 31 Jan 09 Deputy Sheriff Carr requested
a summons for Brian Singer, age 32, 4304 Ninth Avenue, Vienna,
for telephone harassment. On numerous occasions throughout
the day Mr. Singer’s former in-laws reported Singer phoned
them and made disparaging remarks about their daughter despite
their repeated requests for him to cease phoning them.
On 31 Jan 09 Deputy Sheriff Norman issued
a citation to James White, age 43, 445 Imperial Street, Youngstown,
for failing to reinstate his operator’s license and for
driving outside the marked lanes of travel. Deputy Norman stopped
Mr. White near milepost six on Interstate 77 in Muskingum Township.b
The following individual
was processed into the Washington County Jail:
Penny Marie Grubb, age 27, 472 Scott Street, Nelsonville,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Grubb was picked up at the Athens county
line by Deputy Sheriff Mankins and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 31 Jan 09 at 12:19 am.
