On 30 Jan 09 April D. Collins, age 41, 213
Holly Street, Marietta, reported her 1991 Mercury became stuck
in the snow after she encountered a patch of ice and slid off
the roadway at Southgate Trailer Park. Ms. Collins said she
was walking out of a nearby residence when she noticed the
vehicle was ablaze. Extinguished by the Reno Fire Department,
the fire originated in the engine compartment and was likely
caused by overheating.
On 30 Jan 09 Sgt. Stackpole conducted a traffic
stop on a vehicle driven by Lovell A. Schaffer, age 29, 405
Lord Street, Marietta, for improperly displaying his front
license plate. A further check revealed Mr. Schaffer’s
driver’s license was suspended. A canine called to the
scene indicated the presence of drugs in the vehicle, leading
Deputies to discover a cigar containing marijuana in the purse
of Christina I. Holdren, age 21, 122 Tennis Center Drive Apt.
27, Marietta. Placed under arrest for possession of drugs and
for possession of drug paraphernalia, Ms. Holdren said Mr.
Schaffer handed her a bag of marijuana and that she concealed
the contraband in her pants. Arrested for driving under a suspended
license, for possession of drugs and for possession of drug
paraphernalia, Mr. Schaffer was transported to the Washington
County Jail along with Ms. Holdren.
On 30 Jan 09 Deputy Sheriff Hornbeck responded
to an overdose at a residence on Bender Road in Marietta. The
forty year old victim informed Deputy Hornbeck that she was
tired of her husband saying she overmedicated herself and that
if he was going to accuse her of taking too much medication
then she would just do what he accused her of. The Warren Fire
Department transported the victim to Marietta Memorial Hospital
for treatment and evaluation.
SUSPECT ARRESTED WITH OVER 1,000 GRAMS OF
MARIJUANA
On 30 Jan 09, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office
Narcotics Unit, assisted by the Major Crimes Task Force, executed
a search warrant at the residence of Nicholas A. Wambolt, age
21, 1208 County House Lane, Apartment G, Marietta. Two large
freezer bags of marijuana containing over two pounds (1,000
grams) were located inside the apartment. Intelligence information
received during the investigation indicated the shipment of
marijuana just arrived from Arizona. The investigation is continuing
and additional arrests are anticipated. Wambolt was arrested
on a third degree felony charge of possession of over 1,000
grams of marijuana. He is incarcerated at the Washington County
Jail in lieu of bond.

Carrie Ann Anderson, age 33, 845 County House
Lane, Marietta, for two misdemeanor counts of contempt of a
court order. Anderson
was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Eddy and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jan 09 at 9:55 am.
Christina Irene Holdren, age 21, 122 Tennis Center Drive Apt.
27, Marietta, for possession of drugs and for possession of
drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. Holdren was arrested
on Tennis Center Drive by Sgt. Stackpole of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 30 Jan 09 at 12:35 pm.
Lovell Anthony Schaffer, age 29, 405 Lord Street, Marietta,
for driving under a suspended license, for possession of drugs
and for possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.
Schaffer was arrested on Tennis Center Drive by Deputy Sheriff
Hornbeck and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30
Jan 09 at 1:01 pm.
Nicholas Alexander Wambolt, age 21, 1208 County House Lane
Apt. G, Marietta, for possession of drugs, a felony. Wambolt
was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Jan 09
at 6:02 pm.
