On 19 Jan 09 Tracey Richards, age 40, 925
Joe Skinner Road, Belpre, reported she was speaking on the
phone when her ex-husband Todd A. Richards, age 38, 1715 23rd
Street, Parkersburg, began banging on the doors and windows
of her home. Ms. Richards said Mr. Richards suddenly appeared
inside her home and began arguing with her over their children.
As Ms. Richards attempted to force her ex-husband out of the
home she said Mr. Richards pushed her numerous times. Mr. Richards
eventually left without further incident. Based on his investigation
Deputy Sheriff Thorpe requested warrants for Mr. Richards for
aggravated burglary and domestic violence.
On 19 Jan 09 a fourteen year old Marietta
resident reported she and a friend were walking along State
Route 60 in Devola when an unknown male driving a blue vehicle
began to follow them. Fearing for their safety, the teenagers
ran to the fourteen year old’s nearby residence. This
case remains under investigation (296).
On 19 Jan 09 Bobbie J. Cunningham, age 34,
7475 Marion Street, Chesterhill, reported her ex-boyfriend
Gary L. Mayle Jr., age 31, 201 State Street, Marietta, was
giving her a ride home from Marietta when the they began to
argue. Making comments about killing them both, Mr. Mayle jerked
the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to travel off the side
of State Route 550 and into a ditch. The arguing continued,
during which time Mr. Mayle shoved Ms. Cunningham’s head
into the passenger side window. Unable to provide a logical
explanation for his claim of innocence, Mr. Mayle was arrested
for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County
Jail (805).
On 19 Jan 09 Craig Duff, age 42, 95 Wynnwood
Drive, Marietta, reported sometime over the past two weeks
an unknown suspect(s) stole a trail camera, a deer feeder and
a ladder tree stand from property he owns on State Route 676
near milepost twenty. This case remains under investigation
(707).
On 19 Jan 09 Walter Rohrbach Jr., age 72,
11565 State Route 821, Lower Salem, reported he asked an acquaintance
to withdraw $100 from his bank account to pay his mobile phone
bill. Mr. Rohrbach said he contacted the mobile phone company
and they indicated no payment was received. In addition, Mr.
Rohrbach said the acquaintance tricked him into signing his
vehicle title to her and that the acquaintance and her husband
disappeared with the vehicle. This case remains under investigation
(610).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Gary Lee Mayle Jr., age 31, 201 State Street, Marietta, for
domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Mayle was arrested at Par
Mar in Barlow by Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 19 Jan 09 at 5:45 am.
Louis Roe Cavillis, age 38, 1335 Braun Road, Belpre, for failure
to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, a misdemeanor.
Cavillis turned himself in to Deputy Sheriff Anderson and was
processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Jan 09 at 2:45
pm.
Aaron Lee Winer, age 24, 605 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, for
operating a vehicle without a license, a misdemeanor. Winer
was arrested on State Route 7 near Starlite Drive by Deputy
Sheriff S. Travaglio and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 19 Jan 09 at 3:35 pm.
Chester Bryan Wilson, age 51, 119 Schilling Street, Marietta,
for theft, a misdemeanor. Wilson was arrested at Wal-Mart by
Patrolman Caldwell of the Marietta City Police Department and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 19 Jan 09 at 6:45
pm.
