On 16 Jan 09 the Reno Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire at the residence of Kevin L. Beaver, age 44, at 114 Deer Haven Street, Marietta. Mr. Beaver stated he was took a break from attempting to repair the engine of his 1995 Oldsmobile Aurora when his father yelled that the engine was on fire. Deemed accidental in nature, no injuries were reported during the blaze (1106).

On 16 Jan 09 Deputy Sheriff Hornbeck and the Beverly-Waterford Fire Department were dispatched to a small fire at 620 Main Street, Waterford. Originating in the wall behind a newly installed ventless gas heater, the fire caused minor damage. There was no evidence of foul play.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Byron Leroy Clayton II, age 22, 418 Headlee Drive, Waverly, WV, for OVI and for having only one functioning headlight, both misdemeanors. Clayton was arrested on Washington Street by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jan 09 at 5:02 am.

Tiffany Marie Townsend, age 18, 101 Edgelawn Street Apt. 6, Parkersburg, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Townsend was arrested on Cisler Drive by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jan 09 at 6:08 am.

Skyler Wayne Murray, age 19, 3025 Gove Street, Parkersburg, for underage consumption of alcohol, a misdemeanor. Murray was arrested on Cisler Drive by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jan 09 at 6:55 am.

Daniel E. Hendrickson II, age 22, 704 Washington Square, Marietta, for obstructing official business and for failure to appear, both misdemeanors. Hendrickson was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 16 Jan 09 at 7:30 am.
