On 13 Jan 09 Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio requested
a summons for Desiree Hickle, age 18, 29250 State Route 7,
Marietta, for disorderly conduct. The current girlfriend of
Ms. Hickle’s ex-boyfriend reported Ms. Hickle began harassing
her on 10 Jan and has appeared outside her residence in more
than one instance screaming profanities and threatening her.
ARREST MADE FOR INTIMIDATION
OF A WITNESS
On 13 Jan 09 Agents of the Major Crimes Task
Force arrested Tiffany A. Shank, age 41, 1145 Bender Road,
Marietta, for a third degree felony charge of intimidation
of a witness. Between 9 Jan and 11 Jan a key witness in the
case against Ola V. Nichols Jr. reported Ms. Shank phoned him
eighty-nine times, stating that he would pay for being a “narc” and
for what he did to Mr. Nichols. Asked to stop phoning the victim,
Ms. Shank proceeded to send text messages and specifically
stated “you are a rat, everyone will be told, Monday
will be your hell.” This message was accompanied by a
picture of the victim’s house and vehicle and caused
the victim to fear what would happen to himself and his property.
Shank has been released on a $15,000 bond.
Ola V. Nichols, Jr was arrested on 8 Jan 09
during a joint operation conducted by the Parkersburg Narcotics
Task Force (PNTF) and the Washington County Major Crimes Task
Force (MCTF). Agents at that time seized 650 10 mg methadone
pills during an undercover operation.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Tiffany Ann Shank, age 41, 1145 Bender Road,
Marietta, for intimidation of a witness, a felony.
Shank was arrested at her residence by Detective Staats of
the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 13 Jan 09 at 8:55 am.
David Lee Lori, age 44, 10 Browns Road Apt. 3D, Marietta,
for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Lori
was arrested on Washington Street by Patrolman Wenzel of the
Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 13 Jan 09 at 5:30 pm.
Melissa Ann Cottrill, age 22, 20350 State Route 60, Beverly,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Cottrill was arrested
at her residence by Sgt. Stackpole of the Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 13 Jan 09 at 6:00 pm.
