On 28 Dec 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio issued
a citation to Brian D. Strahler, age 40, 195 Millers Lane,
Marietta, for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy Travaglio originally
stopped Mr. Strahler for not using a turn signal when turning
from Millers Lane onto State Route 7 in Marietta Township.
On 28 Dec 08 Graydon L. Gibeaut, age 67, 650
Coal Run Hill Road, Beverly, reported finding a large pile
of trash on his property that morning. This case remains under
investigation (610).
On 28 Dec 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio issued
a citation to Logan C. Gillum, age 21, 11 Walker Street, Athens,
for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy Travaglio originally stopped
Mr. Gillum for not using a turn signal when turning from Farson
Street onto State Route 7 in Belpre.
On 28 Dec 08 Deputy Sheriff Day requested
summonses for Alexis M. Bigley, age 30, 4220 Welch Road, Little
Hocking, and John Carpenter, age 34, 1304 Camden Avenue, Parkersburg,
for disorderly conduct by fighting. The two parties engaged
in an argument and shoved each other during a brief incident
at Ms. Bigley’s home. Neither party suffered injuries
and were both determined to be equally at fault.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Kenneth Allen Bay, age 20, 417 Florence Street, Belpre, for
being a fugitive from justice and for misdemeanor charges of
operating a vehicle without a license and operating an unsafe
vehicle. Bay was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Stump of the
Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 28 Dec 08 at 3:39 am.
Christina Nicole Webb, age 21, 938 Lancaster Street, Marietta,
for possession of drug paraphernalia and for disorderly conduct
by intoxication, both misdemeanors. Webb was arrested at her
residence by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
28 Dec 08 at 5:43 am.
James Lee Dotson Jr., age 25, 284 Harris Street, Columbus,
for possession of drug paraphernalia and for disorderly conduct
by intoxication, both misdemeanors. Dotson was arrested in
Marietta by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police
Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on
26 Dec 08 at 6:04 am.
Arturo Acosta Ochoa, age 29, 205 Norville Street, High Point,
NC, for driving under a suspended license, speeding and for
obstructing official business, all misdemeanors. Ochoa was
arrested on Interstate 77 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Dec 08
at 2:43 pm.
Heather Marie Pickering, age 18, 18 Fifth Street, Belpre,
for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Pickering was arrested
at her residence by Patrolman Augenstein of the Marietta City
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 28 Dec 08 at 8:00 pm.
