On 20 Dec 08 Deputy Sheriffs Norman and Richards
investigated an assault that transpired outside the Grandview
Tavern in New Matamoras. One of the participants, Robert Frost,
age 38, 360 Brownsville Road, New Matamoras, suffered severe
facial injuries and was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Interviewed at the hospital, Mr. Frost appeared intoxicated
and said he was involved in a fight with Lonnie D. Dalrymple
Jr., age 23, 1308 Williamson Avenue Apt. 1E, New Matamoras,
following an argument over a game of pool. Mr. Frost said the
two parties went to the parking lot to brawl and after he fell
to the ground he was kicked numerous times in the head. Located
at his home, Mr. Dalrymple had a black eye he sustained in
the fracas and stated he fought Mr. Frost over an argument
concerning their pickup trucks. For his involvement Mr. Dalrymple
was arrested for felonious assault and transported to the Washington
County Jail. In addition, Deputy Richards requested a summons
for Mr. Frost for assault.
On 20 Dec 08 Wilbert E. Camden, age 77, 50
Rumbach Road, Lower Salem, reported sometime between 14 and
15 Dec an unknown suspect(s) entered a nearby home he owns
at 445 Bode Road and stole approximately forty cans of beer,
two ten foot sections of copper pipe and a pocket knife. This
case remains under investigation (610).
The following individual
was processed into the Washington County Jail:
Lonnie Duane Dalrymple Jr., age 23, 1308 Williamson Avenue
Apt. 1E, New Matamoras, for felonious assault and for a misdemeanor
charge of violating the terms of his probation. Dalrymple was
arrested at his residence by Chief Bourne of the New Matamoras
Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 20 Dec 08 at 1:39 am.
