On 10 Dec 08 Estell Gallagher, age 81, 417
Goss Fork Road, Whipple, reported she allowed her grandson
to borrow her car on 28 Nov and despite her repeated requests
her grandson has yet to return the vehicle. This incident remains
under investigation (500).
On 10 Dec 08 Deputy Sheriff Richards requested
a summons for Andrea N. Greathouse, age 22, 190 Fourth Street,
Lowell, for making a false alarm. At approximately 1:20 am
Mrs. Greathouse phoned for help from a residence on Windy Ridge
Road in Vincent, saying she was involved in a vehicular crash
and her one year old child was unconscious but breathing. When
squad members arrived at the scene Mrs. Greathouse was visibly
upset and crying but her child was in perfect physical condition.
Mrs. Greathouse later confessed she was not involved in any
accident and said she made the false claim in order to be transported
to the hospital for personal issues.
On 10 Dec 08 the owner of Fouss Septic Systems,
2535 Highland Ridge Road, Marietta, reported his business received
a check for $107 for services rendered on 13 Jul 08 and the
check was returned for non-sufficient funds. The business owner
said repeated attempts to recoup the funds from the suspect
have failed and the suspect will not respond to contacts via
mail or phone. This incident remains under investigation (8411).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Steven Jay Thompson, age 48, 108 Franklin
Drive, Little Hocking, for violating the terms of his probation,
a misdemeanor. Thompson was arrested at the office of Probation
officer Ferrell and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 10 Dec 08 at 2:01 pm.
Kelly Scott Goins, age 29, 509 Eighth Street,
Marietta, for being a repeat traffic offender, for operating
a vehicle with expired plates and for driving under an FRA
suspended license, all misdemeanors. Goins was arrested on
State Route 60 in Lowell by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and
processed into the Washington County Jail on 10 Dec 08 at 6:00
