On 9 Dec 08 April McGee, 2082 Sugar Camp Road,
Mineral Wells, reported sometime between 1 pm and 5:20 pm the
driver of an unknown vehicle struck the driver’s side
of her Pontiac Sunfire. The vehicle, parked at 27845 State
Route 7, Marietta, sustained a large dent in the driver’s
door. This incident remains under investigation (684).
On 9 Dec 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio issued
a citation to Clint A. Carpenter, age 25, 1008 Highwood Street,
Marietta, for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy Travaglio originally
stopped Mr. Carpenter for not using a turn signal and for operating
his vehicle in a reckless manner in the vicinity of Fourth
and Greene streets in Marietta.
On 9 Dec 08 a thirty-seven year old Marietta
resident reported her fifteen year old son left their residence
without permission and did so for the third time in the past
two weeks. Unable to locate the juvenile, Deputy Sheriff Norman
requested a summons for the teenager to appear in Juvenile
Court for being unruly.
On 9 Dec 08 Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio discovered
an illegal dump site on Brooks Road, 1.5 miles off Cow Run
Road in Lawrence Township. Found at the scene were bags of
trash, tires, boxes and other items. This case remains under
investigation.
On 9 Dec 08 Linda F. Donahue, age 64, 685
Stiers Road, Waterford, reported she was awakened late in the
morning by her daughter’s ex-boyfriend using foul language
and arguing with her daughter. Ms. Donahue said she attempted
to intervene and somehow ended up falling or being pushed to
the floor. This case remains open pending interviews with Ms.
Donahue’s daughter and her daughter’s ex-boyfriend
(790, 1184).
On 9 Dec 08 Deputy Sheriff Norman issued minor
misdemeanor citations to Joseph Greathouse, age 22, and his
wife Andrea Greathouse, age 22, both of 190 Fourth Street,
Lowell, for disorderly conduct by fighting. The two were involved
in an altercation on the porch of their residence, during which
each party struck the other in the face with an open hand.
Deputy Norman could not ascertain the primary aggressor in
the incident, instead he determined that each party was equally
involved.
the Sheriff’s
Office received the following warrants:
Anthony E. Boswell, age 28, 709 Wayne Street,
Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing
on unpaid fines in the sum of $456.20.
Donald J. Covey, age 34, 300 Alderman Street Lot 8, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $1,891.00.
Gurmel L. McDonald, age 21, 405 13th Street Apt. C, Parkersburg,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $340.50.
Brandon J. Robinette, age 24, 1140 Little
Eight Mile Road, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court
ordered hearing on unpaid
fines in the sum of $135.85.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Ronald Lee Morris, age 55, 2255 Springmont
Avenue, Columbus, for illegal processing of drug documents
and for using deception to obtain a dangerous drug, both felonies.
Morris was arrested on State Route 676 by Patrolman Hively
of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 9 Dec 08 at 2:28 pm.
Anthony James Wilson Sr., age 32, 306 Colegate Drive, Marietta,
for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid
fines, a misdemeanor. Wilson was arrested on Tennis Center
Drive by Major Winstanley of the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Dec
08 at 4:03 pm.
Helena Denise Riggs, age 34, 306 Colegate Drive, Marietta,
for three counts of failure to appear and for failure to appear
at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, all misdemeanors.
Riggs was arrested on Tennis Center Drive by Deputy Sheriff
Simmons and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9
Dec 08 at 4:31 pm.
Linda Gail Morris, age 38, 100 Ellsworth Drive, Marietta,
for driving under a suspended license and for having expired
plates, both misdemeanors. Morris was arrested on State Route
60 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the
Washington County Jail on 9 Dec 08 at 4:46 pm.
Andrew Jason Cordell, age 28, 330 Main Street, Newark, OH,
for violating the terms of his probation and for failure to
appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, both misdemeanors.
Cordell was picked up at the Warren County Jail by Deputy Sheriff
Underwood and processed into the Washington County Jail on
9 Dec 08 at 6:49 pm.
Justin Ray Holland, age 26, 150 Camelot West Lot 36, Belpre,
for driving under an FRA suspended license and for operating
a vehicle with expired plates, both misdemeanors. Holland was
arrested on State Route 7 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 9 Dec 08 at
9:33 pm.
