On 2 Dec 08 Debra M. Steward, age 47, 1635 Clark Road, Cutler, reported she has allowed her ex-husband Ronan M. Steward, age 48, to live with her for several weeks and he began drinking beer around 6:30 that evening. Ms. Steward said her ex-husband became belligerent and started arguing with her. Only wanting Mr. Steward to leave and stating she was not in fear for her safety, Ms. Steward said she phoned for help so the situation would not escalate. In consequence, Deputy Sheriff Hornbeck arrested Mr. Steward for disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported him to the Washington County Jail.

On 2 Dec 08 a thirty-six year old Little Hocking resident reported her fifteen year old daughter struck her in the mouth and lacerated her lip. Questioned by Deputy Sheriff Hornbeck, the teenager said she didn’t like being told “no” and that she was upset that her mother told her to stop arguing with a friend over her mobile phone. As a result of his investigation Deputy Hornbeck requested a summons for the teenager to appear in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency by domestic violence.

On 2 Dec 08 Randy Jarvis, age 52, 1231 Ellis Run Road, Cutler, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) entered a garage on his property and stole two Husqvarna chainsaws, two sets of impact tools and a tree stand. This case remains under investigation (790).

On 2 Dec 08 a thirteen year old Marietta resident struck his head on the inside windshield of his school bus when the driver braked abruptly. The bus driver said the student was standing since they were nearly at his stop and she applied the brakes because she felt the elderly driver of an oncoming vehicle was going to turn in front of the bus. Even though the windshield was damaged when the student hit it, he did not suffer serious injury. However, as a precaution the student’s father transported his son to the hospital.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Ronan Michael Steward, age 48, 1635 Clark Road, Cutler, for disorderly conduct by intoxication, a misdemeanor. Steward was arrested at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Hornbeck and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Dec 08 at 12:41 am.

Brandon Marshall Williams, age 28, 128 Franklin Street, Marietta, for obstructing official business, a misdemeanor. Williams was arrested at his residence by Patrolman McCracken of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Dec 08 at 3:30 am.
