On 27 Nov 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio issued
a citation to Paul A. Schaad, age 53, 17328 Muskingum River
Road, Lowell, for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy Travaglio
originally stopped Mr. Schaad for not using a turn signal when
he turned from State Route 339 onto State Route 60 in Beverly.
On 27 Nov 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio conducted
a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Chollie M. Robinson,
age 20, 212 Elm Street, Beverly, for having an inoperable license
plate light. Inside the vehicle Deputy Travaglio observed several
open beer cans. Entering the vehicle to retrieve the cans,
Deputy Travaglio noticed loose marijuana on the floor and in
the ashtray and later discovered both watermelon flavored and
plain rolling papers. At that time Deputy Travaglio arrested
Ms. Robinson for possession of drugs and possession of drug
paraphernalia and transported her to the Washington County
Jail.
On 27 Nov 08 Lisa L. Thompson, age 41, 108
Franklin Street, Little Hocking, reported on separate occasions
on 23 Nov and 27 Nov her husband Steven, age 48, either threatened
or physically abused her. Mrs. Thompson said during the earlier
incident her husband threw her to the floor, kicked her and
struck her in the face when she attempted to flee the residence.
Then, beginning at 1:30 pm on 26 Nov and continuing until 2:30
am the next morning, the couple argued as Mr. Thompson trashed
the home’s kitchen, broke shelves in the refrigerator,
threw food and threatened to knock out his wife’s teeth.
As a result of the incident, Deputy Sheriff Spencer arrested
Mr. Thompson for two counts of domestic violence and transported
him to the Washington County Jail.
On 27 Nov 08 Mike Durnell, age 65, 8597 Veto
Road, Belpre, reported his daughter phoned him in Atlanta,
GA to inform him that unknown suspect(s) broke into his home.
At the scene Deputy Sheriff Thorpe noticed the suspect(s) pried
open a door and ransacked the residence. The following day
Mr. Durnell arrived back at his home and compiled the following
list of stolen items: a DVD player, a Nintendo Wii, a wicker
basket, three televisions, a surround sound system, a jewelry
box and jewelry, a necklace and two radar detectors. This case
remains under investigation (712, 905).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Steven Jay Thompson, age 48, 108 Franklin Drive, Little Hocking,
for two misdemeanor counts of domestic violence. Thompson was
arrested at his residence by Lt. Canavan of the Washington
County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 27 Nov 08 at 3:15 am.
Patricia Sue Owens, age 31, 1603 Spring Street Apt. 2, Parkersburg,
for OVI, for failure to obey a traffic control device and for
operating with an expired license, all misdemeanors. Owens
was arrested on Putnam Street by the Ohio State Highway Patrol
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 27 Nov 08
at 3:40 am.
Chollie Marie Robinson, age 20, 212 Elm Street, Beverly, for
possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and for
having an inoperable license plate light, all misdemeanors.
Robinson was arrested on State Route 60 in Beverly by Deputy
Sheriff S. Travaglio and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 27 Nov 08 at 8:10 pm.
Mark Douglas Funk, age 54, 107 Elm street, Belpre, for OVI,
hit-skip and for consuming alcohol in a vehicle, all misdemeanors.
Funk was arrested on Center Street by Patrolman Hunter of the
Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington
County Jail on 27 Nov 08 at 8:48 pm.
