On 25 Nov 08 an employee of the Lowell Duke, 100 Main Street, Lowell, reported the driver of a Chevy van drove off without paying for $20.04 in gasoline. This case remains under investigation (500).

SUSPECT ARRESTED AFTER THREATENING DEPUTY’S FAMILY

On 25 Nov 08 the Sheriff’s Office arrested Matthew W. Dowler, age 44, 798 Mayle Ridge Road, Cutler, OH for intimidation of Deputy Sheriff Kevin Carr and his family. Dowler had been charged with two counts of Domestic Violence involving Teresa Rhoades of the above address and Carr was attempting to locate and arrest Dowler. Dowler began making phone calls to Carr threatening to cause harm to Carr and his family if the efforts to effect his arrest were not discontinued. Dowler has been charged with an F3 count of Intimidation of a Witness and is currently being held in the Washington County Jail without bond pending an appearance in Marietta Municipal Court.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Deanna Leigh Raper, age 42, Route 1 Box 78A, New Matamoras, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Raper was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Nov 08 at 11:32 am.

Matthew William Dowler, age 44, 798 Mayle Ridge Road, Cutler, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Dowler was arrested in Coolville by Sgt. Brockmeier of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Nov 08 at 1:39 pm.

Ronald Lee Cyrus Hornbeck, age 36, Fifth Street Apt. 18, Belpre, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Hornbeck was arrested at his residence by Lt. Wilson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Nov 08 at 4:35 pm.

Chadrick Earl Parsons, age 22, 1036 Campbell Road, Ellenboro, WV, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Parsons was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Nov 08 at 4:51 pm.

Martin Alan Tefft, age 34, 1508 Prairie Drive, Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Tefft was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Clevenger of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Nov 08 at 10:31 pm.

Michael Johnson, age 52, 728 Second Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Johnson was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Nedeff of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 25 Nov 08 at 11:32 pm.
