On 23 Nov 08 Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio issued
a citation to Charles W. Loy, age 54, 815 Grandview Avenue,
New Matamoras, for not wearing a seat belt. Deputy Travaglio
originally stopped Mr. Loy for speeding on State Route 7 near
Browns Road in Marietta Township.
On 23 Nov 08 Deputy Sheriff Anderson responded
to the scene of death of a sixty-one year old Belpre resident.
The man’s death appears natural; no foul play is suspected.
On 23 Nov 08 John Wise, age 60, 958 Cedar
Ridge Road, Lowell, reported six guns of varying caliber were
stolen from his home sometime between 9 Nov and 22 Nov. This
case remains under investigation (508).
On 23 Nov 08 Kristy G. Cline, age 31, 1308
Williamson Avenue Apt. 6E, New Matamoras, reported sometime
after she filled her prescription for Vicodin the previous
afternoon the pill bottle containing thirty Vicodin was stolen
from a shelf in her living room. This case remains under investigation
(1184).
On 23 Nov 08 Ryan M. Barrett, age 31, 1405
Roddy Road, Vincent, reported sometime during the past week
a license plate, Ohio #DAZ-7983, was stolen off his Dodge truck.
This case remains under investigation (508).
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Jamie Ray Thompson, age 27, 809 Lancaster Street, Marietta,
for a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon and for
a misdemeanor charge of using a weapon while intoxicated. Thompson
was arrested on Front Street by Patrolman Sury of the Marietta
City Police Department and processed into the Washington County
Jail on 23 Nov 08 at 3:34 am.
Tammy Lynn Whipkey, age 36, 60 AE Miller Road,
Lowell, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on
unpaid fines,
a misdemeanor. Whipkey was arrested at her residence by Deputy
Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail
on 23 Nov 08 at 11:35 pm.
Daniel Owen Purdy, age 47, 911 Glendale Road,
Marietta, for nonsupport of dependants, a misdemeanor. Purdy
was arrested
at his residence by Deputy Sheriff Simmons and processed into
the Washington County Jail on 23 Nov 08 at 1:00 pm.
Roland Dean Handschumacher, age 49, 726 Second Street Apt.
B, Marietta, for OVI, failure to control and for violating
the terms of his probation, all misdemeanors. Handschumacher
was arrested on Browns Road by the Ohio State Highway and processed
into the Washington County Jail on 23 Nov 08 at 10:00 pm.
