On 20 Nov 08 Michael A. Trent, age 38, 27400 State Route 7 Lot 75, Reno, reported he recently filled his prescription for 120 Xanax and he believes a friend who briefly visited his home stole approximately eight of the pills. This case remains under investigation (107).

On 20 Nov 08 Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio requested a summons for a seventeen year old Newport resident to appear in Juvenile Court for being unruly. Administrators at Frontier High School reported the teenager left school without permission and shouted profanities as she walked through the building.

On 20 Nov 08 Deputy Sheriff Carr responded to the scene of death of a fifty-eight year old Fleming resident. The woman’s death appears natural; no foul play is suspected.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Timothy Jack Kennedy, age 21, 1209 Moore Street, Akron, for attempted possession of criminal tools, a felony. Kennedy was arrested on Gibbons Street by Patrolman Chapman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Nov 08 at 5:05 am.

Marissa Brianne Kiggans, age 22, 75 Martin Drive, Fleming, for contempt for failing to pay fines, a misdemeanor. Kiggans was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Nov 08 at 10:30 am.

Joshua Daniel Sciance, age 21, 108 Fay Avenue, Marietta, for contempt for failing to pay fines and for disorderly conduct by intoxication, both misdemeanors. Sciance was arrested at his residence by Lt. Coppernoll of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Nov 08 at 11:15 am.

Kenneth Allen Bay, age 20, 417 Florence Street, Belpre, for aggravated burglary, a felony. Bay was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Nov 08 at 1:42 pm.

Robert Eric Jones, age 25, Marietta, for trafficking in drugs, a felony. Jones was picked up at West Virginia’s North Central Regional Jail by Deputy Sheriff Carr and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Nov 08 at 4:20 pm.

Anthony Lee Houser, age 33, 806 ½ Fourth Street, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Houser was arrested at the Marietta City Police Department by Patrolman Sury and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Nov 08 at 5:05 pm.

James Leroy Mantz, age 66, 425 Dodd Run Road, Marietta, for failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines, for driving under a suspended license and for operating an unsafe vehicle, all misdemeanors. Mantz was arrested on Crestwood Circle by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Nov 08 at 6:03 pm.

Ivan Lynn Patterson Jr., age 18, 106 Riley Drive Apt. 3, Marietta, for being a military deserter. Patterson was arrested on Pearl Street by Patrolman Arbaugh of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 20 Nov 08 at 11:19 pm.
