On 18 Nov 08 Glinda K. Wittekind, age 46, 1004 Lancaster Street, Marietta, was traveling southbound on State Route 7 when her 2005 Toyota Corolla began to slide sideways. The front bumper of Ms. Wittekind’s vehicle struck a guardrail south of Briggs Hill Road, continued sliding, struck the guardrail with her rear bumper then came to rest along the side of the roadway. Ms. Wittekind’s vehicle sustained non-functional damage; she reported no injuries (597).

On 18 Nov 08 Debbie Thornberry, age 48, 11185 State Route 339, Vincent, reported she was visiting a relative’s home at 3195 Bell Road in Vincent on 13 Nov 08 when her two year old purebred Bichon Frise was stolen from outside the home. This case remains under investigation (508, 1293).

The following individuals wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:

Floyd Rondal Elder, age 75, 3401 Plum Street, Parkersburg, for .08 breath OVI, a misdemeanor. Elder was arrested on Third Street by Patrolman Huffman of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 18 Nov 08 at 10:45 pm.
