On 15 Nov 08 Lt. Gherke and Deputy Sheriff K. Travaglio responded to an alarm at the Marathon station at 3830 Veto Road, Vincent. At the scene the Deputies found a hole the suspect(s) cut in the side of the building to enter the business through the cooler. It appears the suspect(s) fled when the alarm sounded and did not steal anything from inside the business. This case remains under investigation.

On 15 Nov 08 Ted E. Dobbin, age 64, 380 Mechanic Street, Macksburg, reported being informed by a neighbor that an unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered an unoccupied home he owns at 141 Dilly Street, Macksburg. Mr. Dobbin said the suspect(s) pried the door open and stole an old toolbox containing various tools. This case remains under investigation (1106).

On 15 Nov 08 Deputy Sheriff Thorpe issued a citation to Emily M. Buckman, age 30, 118 Hillcrest Drive, Marietta, for traveling 86 mph in a 60 mph zone. Deputy Thorpe stopped Ms. Buckman on US 50 at Federal Road in Belpre Township.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Pamela Sue Carpenter, age 49, 6285 Muskingum River Road, Lowell, for domestic violence and for criminal mischief, both misdemeanors. Carpenter was arrested at her residence by Patrolman Oliver of the Beverly Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Nov 08 at 5:10 am.

Cynthia Kay Dailey, age 34, 1125 Greene Street, Marietta, for a felony charge of theft and for misdemeanor charges of failure to appear and failure to appear at a court ordered hearing on unpaid fines. Dailey was arrested at McDonald’s on Pike Street by Deputy Sheriff S. Travaglio and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Nov 08 at 8:34 am.

Michael James Farnsworth, age 19, 832 Fourth Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Farnsworth was arrested at 780 Greene Street by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Nov 08 at 4:17 pm.

Christopher Allen Peyton, age 19, 780 Greene Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a felony. Peyton was arrested at his residence by Patrolman Linscott of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Nov 08 at 4:43 pm.

Dennis Eric Byrd, age 50, Route 2 Box 366, Cairo, WV, for driving under a suspended license, for having fictitious plates and for driving outside the marked lanes of travel, all misdemeanors. Byrd was arrested on State Route 60 by Deputy Sheriff Anderson and processed into the Washington County Jail on 15 Nov 08 at 5:49 pm.
